ACE Liquor Discounter 12th Avenue

Total disaster, skids sit for a day or two blocking product, staff have no experience or knowledge. They left broken glass along the sidewalk for weeks.Sometimes during the day shift there's a pleasant employee but during the night three dudes sit behind the counter and are absolutely terrible at customer service. Rude, incompetent, can't even tell you the price, or they'll hit the debit machine when you clearly have cash in hand.I'll go out of my way to shop elsewhere during the evening

Great selection and prices. What sets this store apart from the rest is the manager, Manish. He always greets me with a smile while being very pleasant and helpful.

Walked in with a few buddy's about to buy a bunch of alcohol for a large party, several cases of beer, several bottles of wine, about $150-200 worth. Store was about to close and the cashier said we have 5 mins to buy something before the store closes. We acknowledged and went to grab everything we needed and lined up before the clock reached closing time. By the time the line reached to us, the cashier told us the store is closed and couldn't process our order and wouldn't accept our payment. What a load of bull! She was rude and obnoxious about it. Terrible way to run a business and makes me wonder how this little store is still in business. We left everything and went to the next nearby liquor store and spent our money there. Your loss, never shopping at this particular liquor store ever again. If upper management is reading this, I hope you heed this warning to fix your customer service policies. If I was running a store and my employees didn't have the competency to accept final orders on a already formed line at the cashier, they would be fired immediately due to the amount of lost business and income. Every store that's closing would normally tell new customers they are closed and bar from entering the door and process all customers still in line; NOT tell customers in line time's up the second the clock strikes closing time and refuse people's business who wasted their time waiting in line. Unbelievable!

If the staff aren’t ignoring you by being on their phone, they are incredibly rude. When asked about products, they don’t have the knowledge to answer any questions. Best to just go the extra couple of blocks to a better liquor store.

So rude! The male at the counter was busy on the phone and doesnt drink so he doesnt have any 1st hand info aside from what sells. The other female employee was having a jolly convo with a friend it seemed like. She didn't want to help the male colleague after he explained he wasn't familiar with sparkling wine. I never come to the liquor store and won't again.

Wine selection was decent, bought 7 bottles because there was a deal buy 6 get 10% off. I paid with cash and the total was $141-something. The cashier and next customer were rushing us out and he handed me my bills folded in half, pushed the box of wine over, then took the next customer. Once I got home I saw that I was shorted by $20!! Pretty shady to be handing change back folded over so I can't see all the bills and then rush us out before I realize that... Hope it was a mistake, and times may be tough but doesn't mean employees should be stealing from customers.

Everytime we go in nobody greets us, they are ALWAYS on their phone and it doesn't really matter who is working.. they all seem to be on the phone. They will be on phone calls and not stop them when you come to the counter to pay, basically ignoring you the entire transaction. Their prices are good but the service needs improvement.

Good prices but staff are ALWAYS rude. On their phones, no pleasantries, no customer service. Rarely tell me my total and just press the debit button when I have cash In hand as they don't look up. The girl I see working on occasion however is always pleasant. She is the only reason I don't give 1 star

Staff are always really friendly and helpful. I come in here with my backpack and I don't get treated like a criminal which is always nice. I feel bad for the staff because I am always price matching the Co-Op flyer but they don't seem to mind. Keep up the great work!
