Aria was a great Italian place in the south core of downtown Toronto. We came here for a date dinner and enjoyed the overall experience immensely.Atmosphere:The restaurant is smaller inside than it looks outside, but it is quite elegant. In the evening, it is dimly lit, contrasting the light with the wooden design of the tables and the ceiling. You feel like you are in an upscale yet casual place in New York City.Drinks:The wine list is quite expansive, with bottles for every budget. Most of the wines are from Italy, and the staff are quite knowledgeable about the different wines. They can easily recommend pairings. We also had an opportunity to finish with an Amaro, selected by (I believe) one of the owners. Bitter, yet sweet with notes of ginger, and it was just perfect.Dinner:We started with the I Taglieri board, which included a selection of cheeses, cured meats, bruschetta, figs, and olives. Accompanied by bread and high-quality olive oil, it was a great starter to share. For the main course, we chose sausage, mushroom risotto, and Filetti di Branzino. I think the risotto was tasty, but nothing outstanding that I have not had anywhere else. It was a bit watery for my liking and could benefit from more flavour. On the other hand, the Branzino was on point: tender, delicious, and paired perfectly with scorched tomatoes and lightly prepared bitter rapini. It was truly a delight. Finally, we finished with dessert, which was a chocolate hazelnut torta. It was succulent and highly textured: there was hardness, crunch, and softness to it all at once. A true delight from the chef.Service:As we sat, the service was impeccable. We felt we were treated with great care as all the staff tried to make our experience great and memorable. Every single person wished us a good night as we left the restaurant. I would very much recommend this experience. Finally, the Price: It was on the pricier end, but I would expect nothing less.

I went with friends on a weekday and had a great meal, indulging in the Summerlicious menu. The food and wine were delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being a bother. I would definitely return and recommend this place.

Amazing food but very pricey! We walked in for light appetizers and 2 cocktails, we didn't get to try their main course yet. They make pretty decent cocktails too.

Incredible food but very pricey. We had a super pleasant experience here while at a work dinner. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a sleek and tasty place to entertain before a game at Scotiabank arena.

Dolci: Blood Orange and Mascarpone tart with candied oranges. One of the best deserts I have had in Toronto at @ariaristoranteto located at the Maple Leaf Square. The tart was buttery and crunchy and the mascarpone filling was light with the right amount of sweetness and a hint of acidity from the orange. The candied oranges were also giving it even more texture and sweetness. This place has excellent service with great cocktails and it gives you a modern classic feel with the ambiance. We had quite a few appetizers and they were all really good especially the gnocchi, fluffly and melts in your mouth

Great decoration and ambience in the restaurant. Our server Vince was amazing and we really appreciated his honesty and enjoyed him overall.Definitely more of an expensive place to eat, ranging from $80-150 per person depending on what main course you got. Based on photos, was concerned that the pasta portion would be small… but when it came, I could barely finish the plate. The appetizers we ordered were mostly variations of bread, all were good and flavourful. Everyone’s pasta looked amazing, mine was a seafood in red sauce that had lots of squid and shrimp— flavourful. Someone ordered a steak and thought it was overly salted; the halibut was said to be very delicious but plate in all was too tart; gnocchi pasta was yummy. They also had red bull and expressos, was told the double expresso really hit the spot.Overall, great food with a more intimate ambience. Washrooms in the building are fairly clean except for the fact that the water is yellow (but not the restaurant’s fault); need to ask your server for the code to get into the stalls.Expect to splurge here, would think it would be good for dates/girl dates/after work dinner. As an individual spent $94 total, ordering an appetizer, pasta and cocktail. You can definitely find similar places at a lower price but was happy overall with my meal, service and experience.

We had an excellent experience at Aria. The food was delicious and timely. The Kale salad and the duck gnocchi were fantastic and so was the mushroom ravioli. They have a great cocktail list and a nice selection of wines by the glass.Great place to go before a sporting event. We literally walked out the door and into the arena.I highly recommend Aria and I look forward to going back.
