Twenty years ago when I worked under her, this particular Seniors Advocate demonstrated to me she was conceited, dishonest, callous, manipulative, vindictve and ruthless. Maybe over the years she has reformed herself, but I doubt such an arrogant person can do that. So be very careful if you have dealings with her. Best to not have any at all.

I was advocating for my ex-husband when my children were frustrated dealing with a long-term care facility in which their dad had been accepted. The placement person at the facility told them the only room available would be one shared with a person with advanced dementia, who flicks the light switch on and off all night long. Our family knows that that would be an impossible situation for their dad. I contacted Isobel Mackenzie, the Seniors advocate, and suddenly within a couple of days a single room became available. Our family was deeply grateful for the intervention and the person in question lived out his life there, passing away just over a year ago.

They were not as helpful as I thought they could have been, I was definitely disappointed in my dealings with the Seniors Advocate

Thea was so helpful I live on the Mainland and my cousin lives in Florida we have to transition my aunty/mom from a independent facility long-term. Thea helped us and guided us from Victoria to the facility what website to go on also email us. They Thea and the seniors advocate is there to help with facilities and we did not know there was so many facilities in our area. Thea went above and beyond to help us..Thank you keep up your patience,respect and helpful ways..
