Queen of Peace Monastery

The most wonderful hand crafted log cabin I have ever seen. A remote and truly magical setting. Will stay long in my memory. If ever I visit this area again I will definitely book a longer stay. A real highlight of my recent trip to Canada.

What a peaceful experience! You’ll love it, even if you’re not religious. The gift shop has some nice pottery. Wish we could have toured the grounds a bit more and enjoyed the nature (especially after the long trip), but it was blocked off so we just visited the building and snap a few pics outside.

Had a short visit to learn more about this place. A short chat with one of the Sisters gave me a paceful feeling, something that felt like there is nothing to worry about when we trust God.I left that place with an invisible blanket of soft peace, then I kept trying to figure if that was placebo or actually there was no cold or hot or pain felt by my body, even it was cold outside.Also I got some handmade soap and few other items that they have at their gift shop, which is not a shop, it is more of a place where they provade some of their work to their visitors, and where donations are encouraged.The peace I got there helped me to see a calmer world, it reminded me that quieting our Minds, it helps us see the Love in people, the Divine Love that we all have but not always recognize

This lovely monastery is in the Squamish Valley approx 1.5 hr drive from North Vancouver. The church is very beautiful modern design with large glass windows looking at a glacier. The surounding are very rustic. It makes for a nice day trip.

Beautiful place, stunning view and great for praying.

Wonderful place to experience a personal retreat. The nuns are wonderful hosts and cooks. Spending the liturgy of the hours with them is a worthwhile experience given the polyphonic singing.

This serene place is the home of a cloistered congregation of Dominican Sisters. The liturgies (Mass, Divine Office) are open to the public in the chapel. The nuns are a powerhouse of prayer, uplifting the Church, and work hard to support their congregation through agriculture and art. Guests are welcome to visit the chapel and gift shop. The Sisters also welcome prayer requests.

Beautiful and peaceful place!

If travelling the Vancouver to Whistler route, this is a good side trip. It's quite a peaceful place. Great to visit to reflect on your faith.
