Candlelight B & B

Great hosts, great very clean accommodation, great food. Everything a great B&B should be. Sorry to hear that Angie and Peter will be leaving the industry as it’s special people like them that making holiday ing in B&Bs so special. Thank you for a fabulous time and all God’s blessings on your next adventures.

Everything about this place was amazing. Extremely clean, great location, the view, the breakfast, the company and (of course) the hosts! We were so comfortable staying here and we really did feel like we were home, except we were being cared for in every possible way. The hosts were super generous and some of the friendliest people we met. Not to mention the sense of community they built with the rest of the guests. :)

Great location in Rocky harbour. Hosts know all the trails and attractions in the area and can guide you to the best ones to do. Breakfast is excellent and you have your choice of three entrees each day- all served with wild blueberries if you prefer! Beds are comfort and rooms are well stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and make up remover pads. Games, movies, and cable tv available. Very friendly atmosphere and easy to mingle with other guests. Great deck in the back for sunset and lighthouse viewing.

Diane and Peter are wonderful hosts! The rooms were clean, breakfasts were delicious (and BIG portions), and they had great local knowledge. Not only would I stay again, I will recommend to anyone travelling to this part of Newfoundland.

Fantastic hosts and great accommodations. Diane and Peter make you feel like you’re home with family except you’re not expected to help cook breakfast or clean up afterwards. Breakfast portions are generous and skillfully prepared and Peter makes sure that no one lacks coffee. Great snack biscuits are available later in the day as are coffee and tea. Have a question about the area? Your hosts cheerfully provide the answers.Our room (and bed) was extremely comfortable and the Wi-Fi was great.

Diane and Peter are THE BEST hosts! They were so much fun and very generous with their time to give us advice on things to see and do in Rocky Harbour and areas beyond. Our room and the entire house was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were huge and each guest can choose one of 3 options daily!! We stayed 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Highly highly recommend the Candlelight B&B. Diane and Peter we will be back! THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL STAY IN ROCKY HARBOUR! We enjoyed an amazing 5 night stay at the Candlelight while exploring and hiking in Gros Morne. Our hosts were the most wonderful people and made us feel very welcome and at home. We spent fun evenings with them and some of the other guests enjoying the ambiance of the back garden overlooking the sea and sunsets.The B&B was extremely well kept and clean. It had modern seaside themed decor and our room was well appointed. In addition to a very comfortable king size bed - there was a dresser and closet for clothes storage and a table and chairs. We also had a large screen tv in our room. The bathroom was modern with a tub/shower combination.The kitchen/dining area is at the front of the building. The kitchen is modern and open concept with the dining area. This is nice as while breakfast is made to order everyone can converse. Breakfast was ample with lots of variety. Eggs, french toast, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt.... coffee or tea.The B&B is not in the busy section of town but within walking distance. It backs directly onto the ocean and has a view to the lighthouse in the distance.I definitely recommend the Candlelight B&B to anyone wanting a super comfortable and friendly stay in Rocky Harbour.

Had a great two night stay at Candlelight in the last week of June. Diane and Peter welcomed us with a review of the need to knows" and some recommendations for the area. We had one of the two upstairs rooms which was spacious

Peter and Diane were excellent hosts. They are willing to make suggestions of what to see and do in the area. The breakfasts are diverse and plentiful. The location is excellent. The rooms and kitchen area are very clean. It's understandable that they ask that you take your shoes to off when you arrive. The beautiful hiking trails in the area can sometimes be muddy. The only thing I would change would be to add another star on their outside sign. Their place is a five star to us! Thanks Diane and Peter.
