The Beauty Cabin

My appointment was CANCELLED BY THE BEAUTY CABIN. Very disappointing. Because, I left their establishment within the past year and went elsewhere, because I found the pricing a bit high and wasn't totally happy with my brows and made a point of it. They have made a point of not allowing me back as a customer. I find that VERY unpleasant and terrible business. Do I recommend them NO. And if you do go there beware of what you say and be extremely happy with your results. The come across as snobs.

Very safe and strictly follow the Covid guidelines. My feet and toes felt great after the hour of being trimmed and scrubbed. Highly recommend for a pedi and it's the second time I've been for one in the past year.

I love getting my nails done here while I am in Kenora. Yen and her team are all great at what they do!

Clean and relaxing atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and their work is wonderful. Very talented ladies.

The staff are super talented, my nails were stunning and lasted longer than any other nail enhancement I've ever had before.

Spent 85$ on a gel refill which is the most expensive I’ve ever had to pay and they didn’t even last me a week and a half before they started chipping. While I was getting them done I wanted a sparkle added on top of the color and she told me she didn’t have time for it? Plus the staff was rude as well when I called asking for a touch up.Update/response: I tried calling the store several times to get an appointment in and ended up using the online booking system instead. The cabin called me back after I booked online and I informed them that I had already booked online and explained what I wanted and they had moved my appointment to a different time since the technician I had booked online was not trained for shellac nail application or something. Come time for the appointment, I once again informed the nail technician what I wanted and she started. I was never informed that i mis-booked during these two opportunities prior to her starting my nails. The nail technician could have told me that I mis booked and that I would have to reschedule for another day. I never knew nor asked to go into her lunch break. She did that herself. Not to mention I tipped her 10$ cash. I would also like to state that having a sparkling nail polish coated over two painted nails is not “nail art” it is a nail polish. It is like applying another coat of nail polish on top. I never wanted “nail art”? I called to see if I could at least get a different nail color since the one I chose originally was empty and I was pressured into choosing another quickly. I understand that I was charged 76$ + tax. I was simply stating that it was the most I have ever been charged in my life for nails that had chipped soon after. I was never informed of a warranty as well and also considered my call back a request to get something fixed. Why would I call again to complain- again? I also never “threatened” to leave a bad review if I didn’t get compensated. I informed you I would be leaving one because you were condescending on the phone. I understand having a bad review can be frustrating but when you own a company you have to be open to critics and the possibility that not everyone loves the service you provide. I don’t think my 2 star review was worth the response it got. If the amount of effort you put into this response was put into my appointment then we wouldn’t have had an issue to begin with.

I was a bit concerned (in the post-COVID world) about continuing with nail enhancements - but vanity won and my previous technician did not appear to be continuing service. A friend suggested I check out The Beauty Cabin - I saw a review from someone on social media and decided to give them a try. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to get an appointment. The online booking system was easy and provided confirmation! In person, Yen was friendly and professional. She asked questions to ensure she was giving me the service and outcome that I wanted. Did I pay a bit more? Yes. But it was worth EVERY penny! It was nice to do business with someone that was interested in doing a great job, proud of the service that she provides and appreciative of my business. Thank you Yen! I am sure that I will be trying other services available in the shop! See you soon!

Overpriced ($60 including tax) shellac manicure with lack of attention to detail (paint doesn’t go all the way to cuticle, the technician told me that that paint outside my nails would fall off in the shower, etc.). My nails don’t look professionally done. Atmosphere was lacking.

Yen & the ladies at The Beauty Cabin are absolutely professional & good at what they do! I have short brittle nails & they're able to fix my nails right up with a shellac manicure. Their attention detail is amazing, the ladies themselves are personable & approachable and their conduct is always great. Never an issue. Will continue to come to The Beauty Cabin, always a good visit when I stop in. 5stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The 2 ladies are lovely. Will definately come back. Love the decor.
