Xiang Zi HotPot
The place is very clean and the Reno is very cool is the best renovated Chinese restaurant in Toronto. For hotpot I would say it have less variety option than Cantonese Hotpot. However the quality of the meat is great. Very fresh. If you love lamb, I would high recommend the lamb soup base. It's super delicious. The service is good, servers are very attentive. My only complaint is that the soup have lots of MSG, so I am thirsty all night long, need to keep waking up to drink water. If you can over look this part, it's a great experience.

Great hotpot place for everyone! This place has a very traditional chinese building layout and the soup base here is amazing! The spicy soup base has great flavours so i didn’t even need any condiments at all, the other one was sour veggie fish and pork bone soup base which are so good as well.Food wise, beef is very good and most items are very good too, just the time for beef to arrive took much longer than other pre made items and I think it would be even better if there are more choices of foods. Still, we enjoyed it and it’s one of the best hotpot places in town.

One of the best hotpot in town. I love the spicy soup here. They have more food options compare to other AYCE hotpot.Services was really good as the time I went thereThe price is average ~50-60/person so I believe it’s normal.Definitely come back!!! Also, the decor is unique and beautiful

The entrance and decor is set up as an ancient Chinese Imperial courtyard. The entrance is huge with benches so if there is a long wait there are places to sit and lots of place to distance. Great for a Covid entrance. Seating is on two levels. It is a huge place that can accommodate a couple hundred people.Although, the entrance way is stunning it's annoying for anyone who has trouble walking because of it's length. But the decoration in the space is enough to take your attention away from from the pain.Finally the food. I think the heat plates are induction. They are extremely fast. You are given a choice of language with the computerized order tablet. Not all the staff is capable of speaking English or understanding it. There is also a choice of base soup for your hot pot. You order your selections for your hot pot. Everything is frozen but takes minutes for food to cook. The choices of food I found to be limited but I can't eat pork so that is limiting with Chinese food. Not a good place of Orthodox Jews or devout Muslims. There were no desserts that appealed to us. We went elsewhere for that. I have been to a several hotpot restaurants. In the area of food choices, the base of the soup was tasteless and selections of vegetables limited as well as meat choices and fish. There is a centre for you to go and get your own sauces which was fun!

Loved the experience, definitely recommended!Authentic Chinese hotpot, AYCE.Lots of veg and non-veg options to choose from. All fresh, good quality.Delicious self served sauce buffet table.Very spacious, well decorated.Attentive staff, fast service.

This is a well decorated authentic Chinese restaurant for hot pot. It is beautifully furnished and is spacious and comfortable. They offer AYCE hot pot. Menu selection covers both cold dishes, meat vegetables, and some limited order special dishes. Food quality is pretty good, and services are fast. Dishes are served to your table in a couple of minutes after your order is placed. There is a self served sauce buffet table that you can mix different ingredients of your like to make your own special personal dipping sauce. Every dish is nicely presented. Staff would clear away your finished dishes real fast. They deserved for 5-stars for service and atmosphere. I would recommend it.

It is an all you can eat restaurant and menu options are lunch or dinner (difference: more sides and premium items in the dinner menu). Staff were friendly, food arrived fast, and they offered a nice rice tea!Premium items are max 2 person. They had scallops, premium meats, others… it was ok. I preferred the regular meats ( a lot more choices ) and the veggies and side dishes were great too!Dipping sauce: so many choices to built your dipping sauce! But you wont need it as much because the soup base is so full of flavours!Soup base: the signature soup was definetely spicy and had the tingling feeling (choose this if you like the ‘mala’ seasoning) while the mushroom soup base was mild but still flavourful (and you can drink it at the end of the hot pot if you like soup!).In terms of price, it is on the higher end. Beside the fix rate depending on the menu option, an additional fee for the soup base is added.Note: they only accept debit or cash

By far the best thing about this place is the wide variety of food options. Many types of meat, seafood, and organ meat are available. The quality is overall pretty good, except the beef was too lean and the marbling was weak. Dessert selections were limited. Service was quick but their tone an attitude can use some improvements.They charge premium prices (over $50 per person after tax and tips). For this price, I would say the value is just okay.

This restaurant is a work of art, and the atmosphere it cultivates is a work of art. From walking into the front doors, you are transported to what is reminiscent of a museum of Ancient China, with cobbled walkways, carved wooden dividers, etc.The staff are all super friendly and polite, and greet you warmly.Entering the restaurant, you are welcomed with bouquets of roses on display.The ordering is done through an ipad, and there are many soup bases and pot styles to choose from. The actual menu is also quite generous.The service was quick and attentive, and it was just good vibes overall, which is very surprising for an all you can eat restaurant!We would definitely come again.

Very exciting experience. Service was very good, the staff were friendly. Definitely an asset if you speak Mandarin or Cantonese, but staff are patient. Good food for the price point. Comes with two premium selections, but our waitress gave me an extra premium beef tripe for my birthday. Definitely coming back with a larger group. Ordering is done on an ipad. Note the soup base is extra, and they only take debit or cash.
