South Arm Dog Off Leash Area

It's nice, like the one near Granville street in Richmond, it even has a tunnel for the dog, but i think all this is good just that i wish they would seperate large and small dogs. My dog was almost bitten by a big dog, luckily the owner came and took her dog away, my dog was shaking sben i pick him up, luckily no puncture wound. Quiet area when i went.

Nice enclosed dog park. Never too busy and mostly good drainage so not too muddy. Lots of old tennis balls to chase.

It's a beautifully maintained park, lots of baseball pitches, soccer fields, swimming pool, and community center. Scenic and easy walking paths for all ages. The tennis and pickle ball courts are well maintained as are the picnic tables and play areas.

Would get a better rating but the City went cheap and cut back on the original plans for this new dog park. 1. It should have been much larger. 2. Plans called for double gating for secure entry and exiting. Not done! Quite a few incidents of dogs getting out unintentionally due to no second gate. 3. Running water was promised. Planners said it would be brought over from the pool. Not done. Nine beautiful expensive tree saplings planted with water bags that have not had any watering for two months during all this hot dry weather. The trees are stressed losing leaves and Don't look healthy. The City Parks have been called numerous times about this and nothing has been done. I know this as I am at this dog park every day with my dogs and check the always empty water bags. Other than that it is a great little dog park, and as the word gets out more people are bringing their pets to enjoy it.

Good off leash dog park. My dog and I like this location because this park has lots of trees, squirrels, and now a water fountain! So thankful that the city finally installed one. There are also washrooms at the community centre which is not too far and a playground for the kiddies. There are also picnic areas for BBQs and plenty of parking.

A nice modern space with some obstacle like courses like a big tube, logs and big stones. The option of gravel and grass is a nice touch but I found the grassy areas to be beaten down a bit and drainage is not so good so it can get quite muddy. There's no big/small sections and it's not double gated at entrance/exit which seems to be a standard to many off leash areas across BC. Decent off leash dog park. Has potential for more space but not utilized. No fountain option.

A lovely little off leash area for the neighborhood dogs. Lots of interesting terrain for the dogs and ample seating for owners. The double gates are great, and I have no worries of my dog getting loose. Very clean, I only saw one poop that hadn't been picked up. All of the people have been friendly.

Compared to some of the other dog parks close to city center, this one is much quieter during the 4-6pm periods. This is great, gives the dogs more space to play and run around.

It's dark if you go at night other than that it's a nice, decent park. There's a water bowl system right beside it too.
