Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Calgary Downtown

Nice hotel. Looks older from the outside. But they are doing lots of renovations. The room was really nice looked newly renovated. Very comfortable. The breakfast was good as well. My only complaint would be it is close to the C-train so you can hear it go by.

Ramada never stops amazing me.This location downtown Calgary is probably one of their better ones in Calgary or Alberta.A lot of the amenities are nearby in within walking distance you can also jump on the train which is just right behind the hotel.The rooms are very clean very spacious the one thing I would say is not all the rooms have a fridge.

My family is trying to have some sleep here at 2am at this very moment, the pub/club downstairs is noisy as hell, two of them finally slept out of exhaustion, and the last one awake is having headache due to this noise and hesitate if to ask for room switch, in which case would have to wake the other two up at 3am and pack! If the hotel ever want to treat guest like normal human being, don’t use the rooms affected by the music noise. For those of you that want to have proper sleep, stay away from this one!

The location is great as it is just few steps away from the CTrain. There are also a lot of food options within the area. Room is clean and service is great as staff are all approachable and pleasant. Although you have to pay extra for the parking. But pretty much it was a lovely stay at this hotel.

Pros:convenient location. Only 5 minutes walk away from Core and other amenities.Welcoming staff: the front desk is very friendly and welcoming.Good value: given the location, it’s good value for money.Cons:-The pool was closed.-No separate water boiler. It’s a coffee maker and not a tea/coffee maker.-The elevator is slow and there’s only one. ( they are trying to build another)-the washroom faucet is old and it either runs too cold or too hot.-there is a central AC that’s supposed to get turned on/off if the temperature is changed by two degrees. It just doesn’t work that way.-we received two cards to our room and one of these stopped working on the second day. We had it “fixed” only to figure it didn’t. Then we asked again and the front desk said it had to be fixed now, but it didn’t. We just gave up and used one of the cards.Overall these are minor issues. We were out all day and ready just wanted a dark quiet room to sleep in and our room was dark and quiet enough so it was good enough for us specially given its location.

I lived in this hotel for 2 weeks with my family. Not new but clean, comfortable and cozy rooms. Convenient location of the hotel. Walking distance to downtown and C-train. Really friendly and professional staff. I especially liked the Ukrainian girl Luda at the reception (all issues were resolved quickly and without problems) and the restaurant staff during breakfast (very polite and helpful). The rooftop pool was a joy for the kids. There is a gym. Laundry is free. I recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was very efficient. The room we were in appeared to have very stained carpet, but the room smelt fresh. Bed was extremely comfortable. Bedding and linen was pure white. I would stay at this hotel again.

I'm not sure what was happening during our stay, but it was completely unexpected. One elevator was not working, long wait times in the lobby. The valet was over-extended, vehicles blocking the road and no space. The shower was either not warm enough or so hot you couldn't stand it (no setting cooled the water, it was scalding!). Best part of our stay, Lucy in the diner. She was so nice to us! We would have been better off in a chain hotel by the highway.
