A lovely place in downtown Toronto! Both indoor and outdoor seating offers a quaint ambience. Excellent service, and great tasting food. Worth every cent.I'll let the pictures do the talking :)

One of our favorite Japanese restaurants in downtown. We tried their chef's tasting menu this time, it was fairly pricey but all courses were very nicely presented and delicious. Service was top notch, each dish was explained to us in detail. Highly recommend.

Some items better than others. The a5 beef carpaccio was seemed to be oxidized a bit and lacking flavour. The waygu and scallops were amazing. Service and ambience were great. Would still highly recommend trying it out.

We came with much higher expectations. The place was very noisy and servers seemed to overwhelmed with how busy it was and rushed every time they spoke with people at the tables (ours and those around us). I give them credit for trying. You go to a sushi restaurant expecting more than just sauce and rice with a thin layer of tasteless fish. I had the mango rosemary Reposado cocktail, which was delicious. The rest was decent at best.

A stunning new spot for sushi! Minami is originally from Vancouver so I was excited to see it come to Toronto. Went there for my birthday with a group of 10 and it did not disappoint. The sushi and cocktails were phenomenal. We also tried the wagyu skewers on special which were incredible. Our service was also really attentive and knowledgeable. I liked how there was space to move around, the restaurant felt inviting upscale and relaxed. Also appreciated how the staff didn’t make you feel rushed (a rarity in Toronto) This is your spot for your next date, birthday or celebration.

I’ve been to Minami several times and each time has been an excellent experience whether it’s the atmosphere, the service, or the food and drinks.I tried the chef’s tasting menu with the beverage pairing and highly recommend it. Each course was a different experience from the sashimi, the steak and lobster, the sushi, and the chocolate cake.I’d say the beverage pairings worked well with each dish, except the sushi course. I found the sake too sweet for it.

Everything we had from the Summerlicious menu was delicious! For the appetizers we had the Australian Wagyu beef carpaccio and the Trio crudo. The wagyu melted in your mouth and came with this mix of different flavors from the ponzu and wasabi and the trio crudo is sashimi pieces with a unique toppings like ponzu jelly. For the mains we opted for the Aburi and each piece was delicious so if you are a fan of trying out different aburi sushis this is a must get. Lastly we were absolutely blown away by the feature scoop which in our case was a taro ice cream. It had such a light yet creamy taste that I've never had before. Will definitely be back another time to try their full menu out for sure.

Amazing service and good environment. I was there during lunchtime, so it's usually quieter than dinnertime.Food was okay, I do find there is better sushi at Miku in comparison to Minami. Highlight for me was the summer cocktails drink with yuzu, lemon and Tanqueray gin. It was such a great refreshing cocktail for the summer.The highlight dish when I had the Summerlicious menu was certainly the torched aburi sushi.Dessert was also done,but beautiful presentation in everything that was brought out.

We weren’t really craving sushi but Oh my god the Albacore tuna roll was phenomenal. The fish was so fresh it melted like butter in my mouth, it was probably the best sushi rice I’ve ever had. The salad was delicious as well.

only ~$40 for each person for delicious high quality food!!! it was super worth it as the restaurant was super art deco looking and served unique sushi and side dishes. we went for mother’s day and the special was so cool yet not a tiny speck of fish on a huge plate. the manager was also so cool and took pics of our group for us :)
