Greg came out to our place yesterday and did a troubleshooting on our solar tracker and battery system. He explained everything exceptionally well and made 3 solid recommendations on how to improve our home off-grid system.

Not only did Greg do a great job and I would highly recommend him, he also educated me on solar panel systems and how they work. Great service and quality work Greg.

Greg went above and beyond - the system looks great and operates perfectly. The process from design to installation was stress free - Greg and Sunfish Solar managed everything competently and professionally. With over $2/litre current gas prices, I am now happily powering my EV with solar!☀️

We engaged this company under Greg Lougheed to install an off grid system for a new build near Wiarton in 2015.We were wrongly advised on battery charging processes that have since cost us new batteries.The charge controller failed twice only to later discover he installed too light of wiring. This resulted in an overload that destroyed the controller and cancellation of product warrantyAnother contractor had to refit the whole system at a cost of $6800.Unpon confronting greg he stated due to business debts and lack of government grant's for related solar projects, he'd in all likelyhood fold his company. Also he did not have the credentials to make the electrical connections he did.In compensation for our loss and potential loss of our home he offered $2490.The wording of the letter of agreement we signed caused us to ask if he suspected further problems.He replied that after this settlement!, it was no longer his problem and he didn't care.We do not recommend this man or company.

Highly recommended. I used to have a hybrid (wind & solar) off-grid energy system until a massive lightning strike on the wind turbine in 2015. Greg re-engineered and re-built the system to all-solar including clever features (like a vertical array for winter) that were mindful to off-grid realities . The system has been humming along well for 5 years now. Last month, I had Sunfish in to change out my batteries and install additional panels on the house to further maximize my solar input. I like to understand what is going on and Greg is forever patient with all my questions before, during and after the work.

Dependable friendly service

Had Sunfish Solar install a net metering system on an A frame in 2015. The system was up and running before the end of the summer. Greg took care of all permits. Professional service all around.Sunfish Solar comes and inspects the system yearly.Only issue so far was the inverter starting to come off the backboard. Greg was here to fix this in 2 days.Loving the freedom this solar system has provided for doing laundry at any time of day and the decrease in hydro bills!Greg is very helpful in programming my phone so I can see how much energy the system is making no matter where we are. Using Sunfish Solar has paid off big time in lack of worry about the high cost of our HydroOne bills. Thanks Greg and Sunfish Solar. Would highly recommend your services.
