Great peice of evil government history and atrocities against the innocent!Very informative...lacking on more specific facts about the real horrors of the internment camps

Such a unique place to visit that lets you delve into the tragic history of WWII and the sad and upsetting treatment of the Japanese Canadians. It has a quiet serene atmosphere that allows the tragic truth to surface and keeps a reverence about the whole site. We had 3 teenagers that had all learned about the internment previously so it really brought it home for them. Well worth the drive and admission fee.

Nature’s beauty intertwined with Canada’s darker past.Walking through the green wet trees so tranquil.Stepping inside to rooms of hardship and sadness. This is truly a place of yin & yang

So grateful that this place is still here. As a grandchild of an internee I've always wanted to learn more. Since what they teach in our schools is not enough. The host here was very knowledgeable and the gardens are stunning. This centre is very well preserved and should be on everyone's bucket list so that we do not lose this important and sad part of Canada's history.

A good place to go and remember what happened many years ago. It was interesting to learn one of the buildings had been occupied until the 80s. My kids were also surprised to learn a family of 8 would share a bedroom and then shared the common kitchen with another family of 8. This place could have been bigger as there was a lot to see in a small space and the history deserves more attention.

Let’s remember the past. Worth a visit with a lot of documentation of the entire Japanese internment period. Replica buildings of homes, bathhouses, and temple plus the gardens of course. Definitely hit this, then onto Sandon. A ghost town.

A truly amazing little museum. Does a fantastic job at telling the disgraceful part of Canadian history. On top of this, there is a great little selection of additional resources for purchase to continue your learning
