Leon's Furniture

This review has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with Leon's as a company and everything to do with our salesperson Marlene. She was amazing to deal with, friendly/funny and did not make us feel pressured to buy at all. She listened and understood our needs, took her time to show us everything that was available and got us a GREAT deal on our new mattress. Because of her sales approach we actually ended up buying a new recliner as well while we were there. We didn't feel the need to shop around or even wanted to after meeting her. Leon's in Burnside will be our first stop for our next furniture purchase and it's solely because of our experience with Marlene.

We got a great deal and Todd in sales really seemed to know his stuff. Ended up with a nicer set of furniture than we thought we could afford before going there.

I bought a very expensive TV last minute before they closed and I lost the sale and embarrassingly tried to Uber it home downtown… uber kept canceling and my phone was almost dead so I would have been screwed. A gentleman at the front desk offered to drive me home with the tv. Meet, thank you again for the impeccable above and beyond service. And to Brandon, thank you for the information and patience. 5 out of 5 stars for my experience.

Was in Leon's on the weekend.Spent almost $7,000.00 on appliances. The salesman in the appliance department did a spectacular job and definitely deserved a 5 star review. They are holding the appliance 8-10 weeks until our new home is complete.Today we were back in to pay off the balance and shop for furniture.Good start. We picked out a mattress and a front room set. All ready to buy but we're then informed that they would not hold the mattress because it was on clearance. We had to take it within 48 hrs. This made me disappointed and a bit grumpy. I chose to leave. This action left me feeling annoyed and Leon's lost me as a loyal customer.

Walked in and had the pleasure of Michael T. being our sales associate. The most quickest and professional service was received. Had answers for every question and took the time to explain. Many thanks Micheal T. !!!

Poor service. We bought a bedroom set for our granddaughter a month ago. We were told that we would have to wait until October that was for it to arrive. That was fine. It went on sale yesterday for 242 less for what we bought it for. They told us to come in and they will take it off the first price. We went in and they said they couldn’t do it until October when the bedroom set arrives. They had so many stories why they couldn’t do the sale. So they lost our business. And we got all our money back.

My wife and I have been loyal customers of Leon's for many years, I have spent thousands of dollars. Over the years my back has deteriorated and just recently I bought a chair from the Dartmouth location in hopes to have a comfortable seat to accommodate my back. The chair was ordered, it was delivered a couple months later on June 15. When the chair arrived it didn't feel as nice as it did in the store, I sat in it a few times and I heeded help getting out of the chair. I called the store to get a refund or even an in store credit. I was only offered to return the brand new chair at a 50% restocking fee. I'm sorry but thats unacceptable.

My family and I went to Leon’s this past weekend to purchase some new appliances as my oven and dishwasher had both broke down and stopped working.It was a Saturday morning so naturally it was very busy. All of the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful.Our salesperson was Brandon L and he was fantastic! He answered all our questions when we had them and checked in with us regularly but he didn’t hover and he allowed to look around at our own pace.He was very helpful in finding the appliances that met the specifics we were looking for while maintaining our budget.The absolute icing on the cake though was when it came time to discuss delivery - We explained we would need install as well and Brandon explained it would be at a cost and knew we had already topped out our budget. He asked if we knew anyone at all that could help. I explained that we had actually had family from out of town visiting the following week and they would be able to install, unfortunately our delivery date was scheduled for 2 weeks later. Brandon told us he would be right back and left briefly, when he returned he informed us that he spoke with the manager and was able to move the delivery date to next week so that our visiting family could help install.As we were leaving we offered our choice of a free giftOverall all great experience and would highly recommend Leon’s to anyone looking for new furniture or appliance!

Furniture is junk. It is very cheaply, poorly and unprofessionally made. The furniture IS NOT MADE IN CANADA!!! Stitching is uneven, loose and crooked. Tape rips the paper finish right off the coffee table. Less then one year later, I'm still waiting for the discount I was promised because of the damage, or I should say, very poor workmanship. What kind of wood" furniture is made out of paper. But hey
