Wellwise by Shoppers

Wellwise is a part of Shoppers Drug Mart and specializes in health and safety products, for example, walkers, strollators, wheelchairs, ostomy supplies, sanitary briefs, ortho socks, heat pads, wedge pillows, bath grab bars and shower chairs. We met, in store, with an appointed Occupational Therapist to help with the purchase of a doctor recommended walker for a family member. Very convenient location, a large selection with knowledgeable staff in store for guidance on purchases

Didn’t get approached for help. I went to the lady at the cash to inquire about a sale that I saw in the flyer…she gave a nasty look and looked at the flyer then told me it’s online only. Stupid me apologized for “bothering” her…I get home and look into ordering online only to read that the sale is IN STORE ONLY. I recommend the Carling location they are helpful there.

Carole was very helpful in selecting a knee brace for my wife’s recent knee injury. As my wife is immunocompromised, she had to wait in the car. Carol spoke with her on FaceTime, let me take a tape measure out to measure her knee, and suggested a great option! :) Thank you!

All the store are not customer friendly at all. nothing is organized or stock put out on shelves and when you call the stores they are cannot confirm if they have a certain product in stock even if you give them the sku number. Prices are always higher than the online store, at times by up to $10 for a 30 or 40 dollar thing, means 30% higher. Folks who pick up the phone are really not equipped to help customers or even willing to look up things. Not sure how shoppers is till in business and not going bankrupt. Will go to other local stores selling medical devices or equipment. Also selection they carry is very limited compared to other private stores.

Very poor service from the manager to the clerks! I need ostomy supplies regularly, and for the last 5 years not one of my orders has gone smoothly. I ordered my ostomy supplies on August 6 but they were not even ordered UNTIL I went in to pick up my order. No one mentioned that they had never been ordered. Now 10 days later, no supplies yet, and I was told by the person who answered the phone that the store only orders “periodically”. Another excuse I received was that they ordered every Tuesday and Thursday, and another employee said because of Covid, everything is late from the company! Do not use this store. I will be ordering all my supplies online from the manufacturer directly. So much for supporting local business!

Lady at the cash was extremely rude, she kept telling me I needed a sleep test for something I am already diagnosed with. Left a prescription for a new cpap and 2 weeks no call back.I know see why this is not well rated.2 words.... Customer service!!!

Jessica was very helpful in the purchasing of my CPAP machine. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. All of my needs and expectations were met! :)

My husband went in to get me a braceThé lady told him I needed to be there to be fitted so he came and got me and went there to be fittedWe got back and the woman completely ignored us and started fiddling with stuff on shelves etc. The older man stood at the cash and ignored us. He finally came over as we were opening packages ourselves and trying braces on. He pointed out some options then walked away again. Made sure he said is that what you want and I was like I dunno. He wouldn’t even look at what’ll the doctor had written nor help us with fitting. So now I have the wrong kind and I am out money

Rude unhelpfull staff sitting behind counter. Tells us that our purchase that did not fit into our bathtub is not returnable. We will need to purchase another smaller one. My husband got upset and they threatened to call the police....unbelievable....He is the easiest going man I know. Due to an accident/surgery I needed a stool for bathtub and ordered a great one from Amazon.
