Unfortunately For the last few years I am with this company. Today I had an acciedent and called them. I had such a bad experience from the claims co ordinater while reporting an accident. From the very beginning the lady was so rude and arrogant and even not trying to understand in what situation a customer is calling. Sne talked in such a rude way and honestly first time in Canada I got such a response from any person. I know her name and waiting for another two weeks for her response to fix my car. Wondering how long we have to wait in Canada to know when we can repair our car as everyone knows how important role a vehichle plays in our daily life. Atleast one request to the claim co ordinater nobody will be in a happy mood after an accident. One more thing if I repair my car in that ladys workshop my dealer will cancel my vehicle warranty.

For the reviews they get, Not as bad as they seem. They handled everything, and communicated well, without issue, even covered my rental for the past months, until my car was completely fixed. No issues at all, Hoping it stays that way, Good experience.

Unprofessional rude and outdated system operations. Avoid at all cost, Manulife a better option or maybe Woodsworth. I'm not even a customer but I can't imagine how awful it would be to try to USE your insurance through them. Impossible to reach and every interaction has started off with frustration or aggression.

Worst insurance company ever. Do not get a policy from them.I was involved in a not at fault accident for which I provided every single detail and information required yet my file was sent to investigation without a reason. Emma DePasquale harassed me for 4 months asking to provide a recorded statement - which by law you are not required to provide. I even gave an alternative to provide a written statement but they completely ignored and desperately wanted me to give a recorded statement. They harassed me every single day, calling and asking for the recorded statement, even though I provided all the required documents and accident details to them already. Eventually I denied providing it since I was told by my lawyer not to and they denied my “not-at-fault” claim based on non-compliance.This is the worst possible insurance company you can be with. Do not waste your money and time. They’ll treat you like criminals when it comes to claims.FYI, avoid Emma DePasquale as your claim advisor at all costs.

Prices are fair, and I've experienced great customer service so far. Other companies have tried to gouge me for insurance (especially home insurance), but Certas (Desjardins) is reasonably priced, and they don't usually increase their rates much.

Excellent homeowners policy and customer service. Massive storm broke the tree in the front yard knocking out the power and the meter from the side of the house. They had an emergency contractor out on Victoria Day to assess the situation and had the tree removed first thing the next day with a brand new meter and power restored quickly. They used amazing top shelf contractors. Very easy to start the claim and get life back to normal. Very happy. Our Desjardins broker Maz has never disappointed.

Angelo Sandhu he’s an amazing guy who helped find an accurate car insurance quote and made my day with his excellent verbal communication and high level of expertise.

Don’t take Insurance from them. If anyone want to ripped off then go to them.DONOT BUY INSURANCE FROM THEM.

RUN as fast as you can! This company is absolutely terrible! We were sent a triplicate insurance form randomly to complete and send in with proof of address and licence. The form was from the 70’s and asked ridiculous questions like how much does your car weigh, purchase price, do you car pool etc… I had to have a representative help me complete it. I asked why was our daughter selected to do this and he didn’t know. Apparently they are doing this more often for underwriting purposes. The form was completed ID sent in registered mail. Radio silence after I asked if there was a problem would we be notified. The money wasn’t taken out of the account so I called and was told it’s cancelled because I didn’t send my licence and address in with her information. I don’t live with her and I don’t drive her car we help with the payments. They sent a registered letter which she didn’t get letting her know information was missing. The letter was returned unopened and we aren’t sure why she didn’t get it perhaps the notice was lost at the apartment complex. They wouldn’t do anything to help and said we could reapply filling out the long triplicate form that takes time to complete and for them to process. They didn’t email or call to let us know she had been cancelled. Took the last payment in May and that was it. I spoken to three different people two which were apologetic. The customer complaints department is a joke and they need some training. Buyer beware - there are enough complaints on the page and there has to be many more that don’t complain. Shop your insurance elsewhere.

This company is terrible, I was hit by one of their clients on the highway who took off after hitting my vehicle and I had to call 911. After the process, this insurance company let's him off with a no fault on his claim!!! It's nice to know they insure dangerous or careless drivers without any repercussions to his actions. Just look at the photos, this is a man who passed me on the shoulder of the fast lane, passing me, then squeezing in front of me and another vehicle while he hit the front of my car!!! Nice Certas maybe your adjustor should do a better job of investigating the accident. I didn't even want to give you one star because your the worst insurance company that existed.
