I received my face cord less than 24 hours after ordering it. Glenn was timely in his communication, easy-going and quick.

I called about picking up some firewood in the next couple of days. The website says you can. But you can’t. This guy is SUPER rude. He clearly does not want your business. He was not at all interested in helping me figure out how much firewood I’d need (god help you if you’re not familiar with roughly how many logs you’d get in a face cord). Although I was calling about a pickup he demanded to know why I had waited so close to Christmas to get wood instead of arranging a delivery earlier (I just happened to need some more firewood in the next couple of days. My life does not revolve around firewood). I would have thought maybe he was just in a hurry, but no, he had plenty of time to insult me and my apparent “big box store mentality” for daring to presume to inquire about firewood on a day like today. Absolute tosser. Sir, if you’re wondering what’s driving people to big box stores, take a look in the mirror. It’s partly to avoid unpleasant interactions like the one we just had. I kind of feel bad for this guy. Based on this experience and the other reviews (and his responses to them) he clearly has no idea how he comes across.Go somewhere else. If I had read these reviews before calling I guess I could have saved myself some dignity and aggravation.

Glenn is a quality no nonsense kind of guy. He delivers a high quality load of wood on time that goes well beyond a typical face chord. Excellent value. Highly recommend.

I got some wood from Glenn today for the second year in a row. He was on time and stacked my wood nicely for me. Very pleasant demeanour. I would highly recommend his product and service.

In a word: a disaster. I’ve used Firewood Solutions a couple of times before and it was always fine. Not today. Glenn arrived on time and, as in other years, backed his truck into my driveway for the firewood driveway dump. This time I heard a loud crack. As the truck’s cab was raised it hit against a thick tree branch, causing serious damage. The branch came about half off and will have to be removed—amounting to about a quarter of the tree.What followed was even worse. Instead of apologizing Glenn told me the driveway was too narrow. But he’s successfully dumped wood there before without incident. In fact, over the years I’ve had 10-12 firewood driveway dumps (the others by the now out-of-business Bill’s Garden Centre)—all without incident. Glenn then asked me “Did the tree grow?” Well, no! It’s a mature tree—now badly damaged unfortunately. The driveway didn’t shrink either. All the parameters are the same. The only variable is Glenn himself. I was angry and suggested that maybe he’d lost sight in one eye and the lack of peripheral vision caused the accident. That really set him off.Suddenly I was on the receiving end of Glenn’s 0-60 vicious temper. He started insulting my personal appearance, physically got right in my face and told me exactly where I could shove the firewood.As I said, over the years I’ve had firewood driveway dumps probably a dozen times without any problems. Today all I was looking for was another driveway dump and that’s it. Instead I get serious property damage and filthy personal insults on my own sidewalk.I’ve dealt with lots of contractors over my many years of home ownership. The vast majority of the experiences have been good. The occasional bad experience here and there. That’s to be expected. But I can honestly say that in all these years, the property damage caused by Glenn (and no apology), followed by his vicious verbal attack on me personally, is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.

We've used Firewood Solutions for our firewood for 2 seasons in a row now. The price is right. Their wood is consistently nice and dry. They show up on time. They email and call back promptly. Highly recommend them!

Glenn: You may not have realized when you got into the firewood business that you would be called a “life saver” but you are. We were out of power for 48 hours, just getting it back on earlyTuesday morning, and the only thing that kept us in our house was the fireplace and the great wood that you delivered this fall. We really didn't have anywhere else to go and couldn't find a hotel with our 2 cats. We were quite comfortable in the family room beside the fireplace while the rest of the home dropped well below 15C…we’re starting to warm up now just in time for some really cold temperatures.Thanks again, Merry Christmas to you and your family.
