I first came upon Erudite Law on flatlaw.ca when I was searching for a lawyer to put together my last will and testament and my power of attorneys. At first, I was somewhat in disbelief that their rates were so reasonable compared to other lawyers and lawfirms on that site. I contacted Syrah, one of the lawyers at Erudite Law, and she replied to me promptly and verified their very affordable rate (note: my will was simple as I have no children or extensive assets, however, the rates for other wills were also very reasonable). We set up a meeting at a place convenient for both of us, and she took me through the process very lucidly. After our initial meeting, she managed to draft the will quite promptly and was very cordial and quick in responding to my questions via e-mail, as well as making any necessary revisions. At the end of the process, and at our final meeting, she put together a structured and well-laid out binder containing: information for my executor, extra forms for additional assets, as well as copies of the will and power of attorneys. It was greatly appreciated, and definitely went up and beyond my expectations.Syrah maintained a high-standard of care, compassion, positivity, and professionalism in her conduct throughout the entire process, which made it all so much easier and relieving. I am glad that I had found Erudite Law, and am very much at ease to have my will handled by someone so knowledgeable as Syrah.
