I have attended meetings of the PLAC Committee at the Law Society of New Brunswick’s offices for approximately the last two years (2018 - 2020 ) and the building is clean, bright and well designed and has numerous comfortable professional staff offices as well as several boardrooms of varying sizes equipped with the latest technological equipment which would, ahem..., put most average law firms to shame. I am extremely proud to call this modern functional building the headquarters for the regulator of New Brunswick Lawyers - the Law Society of New Brunswick.

This is an organization that, like the “Justice” and court systems, are mired in the past. Our justice, court, and legal systems are as antiquated as they are irrelevant. If we need an example, in just the last few years we saw at the federal level the media coverage that was deemed “funny” when it was acknowledged that the feds had gotten around to removing a law related to people challenging others to “duels”. Seriously!?Do we really think that the underperforming, lazy, soft and fat civil “servants” in NB, with an established “hands out/help us/we’re useless population that is routinely demonstrated with bottom of the barrel results in almost any metric you might imagine, would result in anything different? When will the electorate wake up?They have chosen en masse to ignore the need to advance, progress, modernize or to the evolve our legal system. What a joke they all are.Do not go to this forum for genuine assistance. When you have an entire population of so-called “professionals” who do nothing to serve the interests of the populace, then we all, as a population, suffer. They serve themselves, not us.Utterly pathetic industry.

I have been making enquires about my client funds for weeks and nobody is returning my phone calls or answering my emails? What is the reason for this, other than they are planning on keeping clients funds for themselves!!??
