Finally, I had one good experience with car rental company. The car is quite new and clean, which is above my expectation. The check out and return process is easy. I have a lot of time to examine the car. The staff are nice and clearly explain the details. I recommend this shop.

First time rental at Avis Metrotown Burnaby location.Booked directly from the avis site for a 2 day car rental.I was well served at the counter by a man named Aseem. All you need was to provide your driver's license, ID, credit card and sign some papers away (to agree to their terms of use etc).Overall great customer service! It was quick, easy and a fast exchange with my keys in hand. Aseem was cheerful and happy to provide us with a clean white Hyundai Venue at low mileage on the clock at 44000 kms. The car felt new and was very smooth to drive. I would highly recommend and would definitely come back again. I had no problems and soon enough I was handing the car back to Avis :)

Rented twice for 2 weeks each, Charger, mid size SUVs, Corollas, Malibu, and Prius. Great price, fairly clean cars and helpful employees. Located close by Metropolis as well, haven't encountered any problems myself. Will most likely rent from here again next time I need to rent a car.

Aseem is a very experienced and professional individual. His customer service is out of this world. The cars were very clean, price is super reasonable. I've been to other Avis car rentals before, but this is by far the best location. I highly recommend to find Aseem whenever you are looking to rent a car in Burnaby!

Worst customer service. Car was unclean from inside. Gave a Nissan Sentra for full-size car where CarPlay was not working properly. When complained about the service and car, the owner (if he is) said “yeah, it was weekend. Whatever is done is done. Okay, thank you.” He gave me a receipt and sent me off. Don’t ever go to this place.

My friend and I used the Avis rental service today for a day rental. We refilled the tank before returning the car, pumping the gas until the gas pump shut off on its own, indicating that the fuel shutoff sensor detected that the gas tank was full. We took a picture of the fuel gauge and it pointed at FULL (we still have the picture) and showed it to the staff who turned out to be the manager. The manager insisted that the gas was not completely full and said unless we refill it again, we would be charged a fee. We explained that it was indeed full as we pumped the gas until the fuel shutoff sensor automatically stopped the gas pumping on its own. He did not trust us and said it was because we put the nozzle in too much. We ended up going back to the gas station to try to refill more gas. The gas pump shut off almost immediately after attempting to put more gas and we were charged a mere $0.60 for the additional gas we refilled. The whole experience was a waste of our time and the manager's attitude was rude. He had zero knowledge about the car's fuel shutoff sensor and how topping off the gas could damage the vehicle. The manager's name is Aseem Khan and the store location is 4603 Kingsway. This is the worst experience we have ever had with a car rental.

I have rented more than 10 times here. Aseem and Hamad Khan are the people I have usually dealt with. They have given me car upgrades even without requesting for it. I was given an SUV upgrade because Aseem thought the weather was too snowy to be driving a sedan (which I had booked). So much care that it Feels like a small family owned business rather than a giant corporate car rental company. Way to go Avis!

I have been renting with them regularly for over a year now. Their cars are always neat and clean and they have excellent service. I also like how the cars entrance/exit and parking area is spacious (despite the location being in a busy area) which makes picking up and dropping off comfortable.

Imagine being stuck in a city overnight, simply because a car rental company doesn't have a slot/box to drop your key after hours - which in this case was 3pm!! The ONLY after hours Avis service in the entire Vancouver area (including Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Burnaby, etc) is at the airport!In my entire life renting cars all over the world, I've never seen a rental company without an after-hours drop-off, including U-Haul.The service personnel were very good at this location - BUT this policy is absolutely crazy!It also drove me crazy that during all the calls we made to customer service they constantly referred to this as after-hours service." It's not a service...it's a slot in a door!Avis has seen the last of my money."
