Sawbuck's Neighbourhood Pub
Started coming here last year on a regular basis as the food was amazing and had a home cooked feel. The staff have always been amazing, super friendly and attentive. We recommended the establishment to many friends and colleagues for these reasons. Unfortunately over the past few weeks, the quality of the food has dwindled, tasting more processed and inadequate. The environment has changed dramatically and is not as inviting as it has been in the past.

Very fair prices even with inflation, great daily specials. A lot of new staff learning but improvement with every visit.Omg on my recent visit I noticed the new happy hour menu!!! Cheapest place in white rock to get drunk, damn

Sawbuck's Neighbourhood Pub
My husband and I used to love coming here. We loved the staff, atmosphere & food. The menu “had” a high quality home cooked feel however recently my favourite menu items have been replaced with generic, cheap typical mundane pub food.The staff is hardworking, honest, wonderful, inviting & friendly. We especially love seeing Rich, Ali, Veronica & Tanya smile at us each time we walk in. As a small business owner I know first hand how hard it is to find good staff and this crew is GREAT!

Used to love coming in for wing nights on Wednesdays and the occasional Friday night. Staff and atmosphere used to be amazing. Sadly those days are done. This place is a shell of its former glory. Maybe 5 tables at 6pm on a wing night and it still took over 30 minutes to get our food. I hope the new owners understand what has happened here because the community clearly isn’t willing to support their local anymore.

Great neighbour pub vibes. I have always wanted to go here ever since I thrifted a cool Sawbucks Pub" baseball cap. I wore that puppy into the ground and if I lived in White Rock there is a very good chance I would also wear my visiting rights to this classic old school style pub into the ground"

Excellent fish & chips. Soup & sandwich special was excellent. Nice Pub atmosphere. Friendly, prompt professional service. Food came fast. The fast service was important because it was lunch time when we went.

Update: Have read some of the recent reviews saying how great it is now…so I went in a few days ago. Well if I want frozen food I will eat at home ordered wings and they are absolutely a cooked frozen product that you just re-heat, also had a beef dip and the meat was quite dried out, fries were good also had Caesar salad and it was fine.It seems that the recent positive reviews may not be legitimate customers, I don’t know.Also asked about the previous staff and was quite surprised by the response. Was told they left because they were stealing. Which I was shocked as that is not information that should be said to random people it seems a little slanderous. So between the food and negative comments and atmosphere not sure I will be returning…I think this community needs to let them know this behaviour is not acceptable. Stay away from Sawbucks!True Sawbucks staff, will miss all you lovely ladies, you all made Sawbucks what it was. Otter Co-op you have disrespected our community.

We used to be regulars at this pub. The service used to be fantastic and the food wasn't too bad.Last week we decided to check out the place and see what it's like since the staff revolt. It was 8pm on a Saturday. There were maybe 15 - 20 people. We sat down and waited for some time till finally a waiter came by with a menu and said he will be right back. 10 minutes .... still no waiter. We took a look at the menu and the prices have gone up considerably. I looked over at the bar and I saw our waiter and two waitresses hacking away on the till computer. It was obvious that they didn't know what they were doing. I also notice that none of the guest in the pub were eating.I am impressed with the new owner. It must take skill taking a vibrant and well run business and completely destroying it.

I’m not giving this place any stars because I’ve heard what has happened. This was always a go to place for atmosphere and service. Rich and the gang were the best this place could ever hope for. I haven’t been since the staff changeover and I will never go back. I am a White Rock local for over 35 years. Sawbucks has always been one of the two pubs to go to. Like I said, I will never step foot in this place again and talking with all the other locals who know the situation, it won’t be long for this place to go under. But maybe that’s corporate wants…see ya Sawbucks!!

DO NOT EAT HEREComplete disgrace to the serving industry. My colleagues and I have been coming here every Wednesday for two years and have always looked forward to good food and excellent service. With recent management changes; we will not be coming to this establishment again. The servers provided the best service night after night without skipping a beat.White rock locals everywhere are repulsed by this change. I hope the new owners realize the mistake that has been made.
