The clinic had me there for almost 2 hours when I should have been there for one! I paid for parking and went well over my limit. The wait time here was ridiculous, I should have brought a book.I sat in one waiting area until a technician called me in to get my eyes tested, then I had to wait in another waiting area for the doctor to see me. Once I was called in, I saw a student. She was very diligent, had a look at my concern and put me at ease with my diagnosis and some potential solutions. Dr. Punja finally came in and had one look at my eyes and asked me right away to take off my mask. I didn’t understand why as this clinic stated all patients should wear a mask and all staff were wearing masks given we are still in a “pandemic”. I realize now that he just wanted to see my face. He barely even looked at my clogged pore in my eye and addressed my medical concern for 3 seconds and proceeded to touch my face and said I had great skin, and asked what I’ve had done. My eyes bulged as I realized he wasn’t there to help me with my medical condition but rather, wanted to sell my skin products and laser procedures. I quickly put on my mask and was in absolute disgust by his demeanour and unprofessional bedside manner. I will not be going back and truly hope you do not book any procedures/surgeries with this inept doctor. He was not worth the 7 months wait whatsoever.

Dr. Punja was fantastic my surgery was done 5 years approximately. He does his job it is not a social club very serious but I did find his sense of humour when you have one. I would go back if needed. Some of you people just are negative in everything it seems. Ursula (Oma)

Stay away! I would give ZERO stars but not an option. Utter incompetence and you will have to continue going back to have the previous procedure fixed due to incompetence. The staff are cold, unaccommodating, don't return calls and couldn't care less that you have to travel 300 km round-trip for each visit. Can't wait for this nightmare to end!

Two very upsetting appointments with Dr.Karim Punja. I went to see him about a pocket of filler maybe? That had been not absorbed into my undereye area. Shifting into an awkward area resembling a blister under the eye.Or maybe a fat pad needing surgery. Not sure. After waiting in the first waiting room for nearly an hour, I was taken to three different eye testing machines. Then sat in another waiting room for nearly another hour. Then moved into the exam room to wait 20 mins for him to arrive in the room. He doesn’t make much eye contact. Did an exam of the area. Tells me I’ll need 1-4 injections to dissolve the previous filler. Tells me it’s 4 injections for $1000. Ok. I get one injection today. A week goes by. I come back. Nothing has dissolved. But the price has now changed, it’s (now) 2 injections for $1000. Ummm what? No. I wrote down the cost from the previous appointment and referred back to it. Now I’m mad, I’ve waited for hours now in the course of two appointment times. Paid a steep price for parking and I’m out $1000. I told him so and let him know how little trust I had in him as a Dr. I decided not to move forward with any under eye corrections at this clinic. After complaining, I did receive my money back.

Our family is very impressed with Dr. Punja and his Staff. My Elderly Father has been going to the Clinic for over a year now. The place is beautiful and clean. The Staff seem to take pride in their work environment and are always courteous and friendly, but most importantly treat my Dad who suffers from Parkinson's, Dementia and Stroke with the utmost Dignity and Respect. The staff are always willing to help us whenever they can, even when it isn't in their job description. One thing that really impressed me was although my Dad suffers from cognitive decline, they Never talk down to him, and but know how to communicate with him on his level with out being demeaning. They did excellent work on my Dad's eyelid surgery, although challenging. We are grateful that we have this team as part of my Dad's health care team. Totally recommend.

My mom had the worst experience ever!! She had the eye lifting surgery done that was covered by Alberta Health Care. After surgery she noticed that something wasn't quite right with her eye lids. When she went for a follow up appointment she explained her concerns. The doctor ignored what she said and told her that her eyes are better than before and just left the room. After this visit my mom wanted to go further with the eye surgery but because of his unprofessional behavior she decided that she can't trust him. So she wanted to speak to the manager of the clinic. The manager was aware of the situation and didn't want to talk about it because she didn't want to hear the truth. Very, very disappointing and I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy.

Very unprofessional! Terrible experience!My dad was referred to this clinic for an eye surgery regarding macular degeneration to his left eye.The surgery went well, at least based on what they said. Now I'll seriously have to reconsider that and consult other professionals for comments.During the surgery, they removed my dad's lifted eyelid on his right eye. Without doing anything to lift that back up, my dad had lost his right eye sight for a few months already.My sister brought him back to consult Dr. Punja. He referred us to another specialist in another clinic on another date. We went there on the date, waited another hour to see the specialist. And he asked us why we were there and he had nothing to do with my dad's eye situation.Anyways we went back to Dr. Punja's office, was told by another specialist that they can arrange a surgery to lift my dad's eyelid back up. So we had to book another appointment to sign a bunch of documents to make sure their butts are covered. And then another appointment to do a pre-surgery checking.Not to mention that they never pick up phone calls, and not replying to voice mails. Waited an hour finally they pick up the phone and told me to leave another voicemail.Had to bring my dad back for an injection yesterday. It's ok that they could not combine the pre-surgery checking scheduled today. But when we showed up today, they said it was scheduled tomorrow.I'm no Saint and I make mistakes. But would it be possible for me to mess up the dates if I had just been told that we had to go there in two consecutive days?(I checked the documents my dad signed after I left this review. It was in b/w that the appointment was scheduled today.)I had never left a negative comment on Google but I felt that it's necessary for people to know how bad they are. I won't entrust my eyes to such unprofessional clinic.

I only saw Dr. punja 3 times , then I saw a younger lady Dr., also a younger man Dr, they all very care about their patients. I never asked to do extra exams, which are not covered by health care compared with the last eye center I visited. The 2 younger Dr , they both gave me very detailed eye exams . The front desk is also very helpful . You feel humanity in this office.

Dr. Punjabis one of the most caring people I have ever met. As a doctor he is professional, educated and always goes above and beyond. He is approchable and always wants the best for you. I highly recommend his services.
