Cutting Edge Barber Shop - Varsity

Every time I have gone here, the wait times have been atrocious. There weren't people in line ahead of me, but there were people in the chairs with haircuts already in progress. I've always had to wait 30 - 40 minutes to be served, so it makes me wonder how long those people were sitting in there BEFORE I arrived. When I do finally get seated, it has taken 30 - 40 minutes to cut ny hair. My hair is very simple to cut the way I like it, and usually takes about 20 minutes to complete for an experienced barber. I'm not asking for a beard trim or eyebrows to be cleaned up. Just a basic haircut.On one occasion, the lady who works there cut my hair, and she didn't even cut it right. Don't get me wrong, it didn't look bad. But I had shown her a picture of one my previous haircuts, and she either couldn't duplicate it, or she didn't care. I am giving this business 2/5, only because one time, I receive a great haircut! But that was after waiting 40 minutes with no one in line ahead of me, and then sitting there for about 35 minutes for a basic cut.

Best barber shop in Calgary with the best barbers in Calgary. All the barbers here are incredible but Adrian is my go to for a guaranteed perfect haircut every time.The barbers take their time to make sure every cut is great and make the whole experience a good time.Would absolutely recommend everyone to check this place out.

This Barber shop is just an extension of the first two cutting edge locations. Feels like a classic barber shop, clean, affordable, friendly, and most importantly the haircuts are top notch. If you're in the NW check it out.

I haven’t gone to a Barbershop in year but Alex at the the Cutting Edge did a fantastic job. He was very professional and helpful in deciding how I should get my hair cut. Would highly recommend checking this Barber shop out.

This is not your average barber shop. If you’re looking for a professional and friendly barber who spends time to makes sure you get the style you want, this is the place. Ask for any style or fade, you will never leave disappointed. You’ll feel welcome from the minute you step inside, the store is clean and fresh. Go and ask for Adrian, thank me later.

This place is close to where I live, and I have been visiting it every six weeks since before Christmas 2022. I think Alex offers the very best skin fade in Calgary.I usually go before lunch. Alex always took enough time to consult with me about the specific look I wanted that day, and I never felt rushed during the process. (If you have had a 15-minute haircut, you know what I mean.)Now, almost all my friends who live close by go to this place, especially those who are seeking a top-notch skin fade. Alex's skill is probably worth double/triple of what he is currently charging.Last, they encourage you to use their coupon multiple times.I will be back in a few days.

I came in with my brother and the whole crew was incredibly accommodating. Super nice and professional staff with a very clean and organized work environment. The cut turned out so nice I would definitely recommend this barbershop to anyone looking

The barbers here are very efficient and skilled, especially Sarah she has consistently given me hair cuts that I love with her great talents. The shop has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and I am always happy when I have my hair styled by Sarah.

Alex is absolutely fantastic! My autistic and non verbal 4 year old would not let ANYONE touch or cut his hair until we met Alex. My son has seen him 3 times now and we had an amazing experience each time. Alex is very engaging and makes sure my son is comfortable and happy at all times. Alex stops every now and then to play with my son and this really makes a difference. My son knows the drill now and goes straight in and sits on the chair with a huge smile on his face! We have found our barber now and will keep coming back!!! Thank you Alex!

Just read all the other 5 star reviews and you will know this little shop is special.I'm old school - I like knowing who's cutting my hair. I like having a relationship with my barber. Alex and Adrian are two of the classiest dudes you could ever hope to meet. Extremely kind and talented. Super funny/fun atmosphere. I'm stoked that I get to go back their to hang out each time I need a haircut. These guys are truly professionals. If you haven't checked out this location I would highly recommend it.
