My favourite kitchen knife has never been so sharp! This is a great sharpening service. Oleg(The owner) sharpens basically anything that cuts with a metal blade with artistic skill. He has reasonable prices, cares about his work, and the turnaround is quick.

Please note the correct address for this business is the back entrance of #103 1776 Broadway Street, Port Coquitlam. The front entrance is Glass Station. He works in the back of their space. The previous reviewer had the address on Kingsway.

I had to get my hatchet sharpened, and Olec's sharpening shop was the first service to pop up. Seeing how it's a local business, I gave him a call, and he was clear and honest with his price and availability. He also informed me his current address on Google isn't correct and that his shop is now located at 103- 1776 Kingsway Ave, not far from the old location (I've submitted a request to have this changed, it's under review) It was easy to find with his instructions.Upon arriving, (back entrance) there's a visible small sign that says Sharpening, and the door is wide open. You will see Olec sitting in his humble office space, sharpening away. He's an older Eastern European gentleman who runs the shop all by himself. He was straight to the point and gave me a very reasonable price, and that because of how busy his shop is he wouldn't be able to get to my hatchet (I arrived pretty close to closing time, and it takes 30 minutes to sharpen each tool), and if i could come pick it up the next day. I paid in advance, and the next day promptly at the time he said it would be ready, my hatchet is sharpest I've seen it! I've asked if he sharpened kitchen knifes, and he does amongst other tools! I know I'm a returning happy customer ongoing! Thank you again, Olec!!

Visited for sharpening 6 kitchen knives. Satisfied for the Henkel knives however sharpening of Global knives was so so.

He sharpened my reel push-mower to better than new. He puts thought into the ideal angle on the blade... Tried him next on an old axe that had a blade like a sledgehammer. I can shave with it now. Oleg is clearly an artisan of what seems to be a lost art with tools...

Oleg the owner is a fantastic and friendly person to talk to! Very knowledgeable and very skilled. I went there to sharpen my knife set and he did a fantastic job. Definitely would rather support these small businesses instead of going to the mall or so.
