Livingston Animal Hospital

We recently moved to Grimsby and needed a new vet clinic for our two dogs and we're very happy to have found Livingston Animal Hospital. Right from the first call I had a good feeling. We were able to get in to see Dr. Burmeister and she's fantastic. She's very knowledgeable. She spent time to review medical files so she knew the history of my dogs before our appointment. Her entire team was great - welcoming and kind. I did back to back appointments with my two dogs and I didn't feel rushed at all. Dr. B called me a few days later to go over results and provided suggestions and advice. Overall, a fantastic clinic.

We have had 2 appointments with Dr.Burmeister and her team. Friendly team but overall we we charged an incredibly large amount and the issue we went into address with our beloved dog, did not get addressed. In fact, she tried to deal with everything else she possibly could, almost seeming like she was trying to find more things to upcharge us for. We still have the same great worry that we came in with and the difference now is we are $480 in the hole and we could have put this money into actually addressing our dogs actual issue. At the end of our appointment, she said So

My dog got attacked at the dog park, where he had his neck ripped open. I looked up emergency vets in the area, and this vet came up. I went there immediately.They informed me they are not an emergency vet like Google says, HOWEVER they were amazing! They called around the area to all the actual emergency vets, and explained my situation. They found one emergency vet that could see my dog immediately. Not only that, the veterinarian at this place came out to assess my dog, even though she couldn't do the emergency surgery on him, and she had other appointments. They explained everything that needed to happen to me, made him comfortable, took care of him and set me up to take him in for emergency surgery at a place in Hamilton. Give me directions and a name to speak to once I got there. This was all in the span of 20 minutes, and they were busy with people with actual appointments , but could see my dog needed immediate attention. They were great! Highly recommend!

Another fabulous visit at Livingston Animal Hospital. Every single staff member makes your pets and their owners feel valued. They take their time to explain every step during the exam. Our cats, Steve and Mia, are so comfortable with every visit. Thank you so much for your care!

I have had many pets over the years and dealt with many different vets. By far this is the best clinic I have dealt with. They are very kind and caring and I appreciate the balance of professional and holistic care they provide.

My wife and I were less than happy with the treatment we received for our dog here. Our first few visits with him as a puppy we were belittled by one of the vet techs and questioned if we were capable of raising a large breed dog". We were spoken down to based on our food choice

The staff were great with my dog. She was very stressed and they did everything they could to calm her down and make her feel safe.

My puppy accidentally ingested toxic medication this morning and Livingston accepting him right away and treated him immediately. Our family pups have been patients of Livingston for several years and particularly, Dr. Burmeister has delivered such excellent and compassionate care.Thank you all!
