Tosca Banquet Hall

I was most recently here for a wedding in June 2022. It's a really great little banquet hall. The coordinators and wait staff are very nice and hard working. The outdoor ceremony is west facing which is good to keep in mind in terms of ceremony photos and guest comfort. It can get really hot and the harsh light can make everyone squint. As a wedding photographer, I would recommend a later ceremony time so that the lighting is beautiful and flattering. I love the new renos that they've done inside. Modern and pretty! It has a bunch of nearby photo locations such as Oshawa Botanical Gardens, Thickson's Point, Pumphouse Marsh and Lakeview Park. I's also convenient for guests travelling from further away as it's right off of the 401.

I just had my wedding here in April. I dealt with Zeneida who was very accommodating to my requests. The coordinator was helpful as well! The hall itself is beautiful, once you step inside it looks so elegant.The only thing I would criticize Tosca on, heavily, is the person managing the event the day of. I cannot recall her name, but I think she was the director or something? The whole night she was unpleasant to my guests and asked me (the bride) a lot of questions about when the decorators are arriving to do tear downs, what we want to do with the cake, etc and criticizing my guests saying they seem very drunk etc. Then she demanded that I give them a 5 star review at that moment, while I was trying to enjoy my wedding with my friends. She was just very rude and came across very judgemental which is just bad customer serviceOther than this, I would definitely recommend this venue as their food is delicious and everyone else is very nice and accommodating.

Great wedding and reception party.Had a blast that night.The facility was well managed and the staff was friendly and efficient. Tasty menu, well presented.All in all, I would recommend highly.

On April 9th, 2022 my family and friends were invited to a party at Tosca Banquet Hall. The place is stunning, freshly renovated with beautiful colors and modern design. The place is big and welcoming. Food is served in timely manner and very professionally. The owners welcome the guests with a big smile and warmth that make you feel valued. We had 4 course meal with a very good price. Food was very delicious. The servers were courteous and nice and all of them fully masked. The tables had distance from each other so we could maintain the social distance. I am very impressed with the manager of the place she is very good at her job. She attends the work like a hawk and had a great eye to every details. Washrooms were clean and the place was spotless. I highly recommend this place and I can't wait to go back. I definitely give this place all the stars they deserve.

Our recent annual general membership meeting was held here, more than once! That said, one would expect reasonably tasting food with something as simple as a hot breakfast.When someone else sitting beside me offers a sliver of chocolate to help get rid of the taste of sausage that was offered on the menu, I knew I wasn't alone!Breakfast is NOT a difficult menu to assemble, but I suggest they taste the food first before serving. Fresh pastries would be preferred. Disappointed.

I had to pleasure of photographing a wedding here last fall and was impressed by what I saw!The venue itself is beautiful and minimal at the same time. Nothing overbearing, but more simply elegant with a very large hall that can accommodate hundreds of people.The staff working the venue was also great. Kept the food and drinks coming in a timely manner and were right on top of my and other guests requests. My clients also told me they were so glad they chose Tosca on a friend's recommendation.Last but not least - their food was incredible! Big taste and even bigger portions! Hoping I find myself working at this venue again soon because I simply need more of their beef in my life.Definitely worth a look if you're looking for wedding/events venues!

This was our 2nd time we celebrated New Year's Eve at Tosca Banquet Hall. It was such an amazing way to ring in the New Year. Your ticket includes appetizers, a delicious 4 course meal, open bar and dancing. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful hall. That's about it.The staff members were rude and stern. Not the ones coming to the tables but the main ones running the show. They were the ones mostly seen and heard. They were very rude, no care for customer service at all. They were rude to young and old it didn't matter. 2 star BC the staff coming to the tables were not rude.The hall has a weard smell that hits you as soon as you walk in. They could really take care of that...I'm not sure of the price BC I wasn't the host.I don't think I'd use them again.

We recently had a wedding reception for our daughter and new son in law at Tosca. Everything was superbly done from the table settings to the food that was served. The service was first rate, the food served hot and quickly. We would highly recommend them.

My friend just hosted her daughter's Sweet 16th birthday with a guest of 80 that attended, on Sat Jan 14th 2023. After she attended her friends baby shower at Tosca Hall, she felt good hosting the party here. My event planner Jeffhldesigns transform the hall into an enchanted forest! Jeff made the ugly duckling to beautiful swan! I want to give a special thanks to Jeffhldesigns and Doubletakephotography for their amazing work!! There are a couple of reasons why we're giving Tosca 1 Star. The owners was not accommodating to some really small requests. For example, not letting us use their recycling bin for the boxes my event planner had brought his decorations in. The food had no seasoning and it was very bland. The Nachos was cold, dry and there was no cheese. The sliders were a huge disappointment. They didn't even want to cut the cake as they wanted to charge more for cutting service!!! Come on guys! We're all about supporting small business but when businesses cheap-out and treat your paying customers like another number is poor business module. A total of 10k was spent for poor services. The manager was very rude and hostile to the guests, that was not acceptable! They also did not provide boxes for leftover for food or for our cake, that we bought elsewhere, to take home then but they have decided to just throw everything out. How can you feel good with all the food that wasn't touched and was just thrown out, at least donate it or something. Tosca did not live up to there reputation as I felt ripped off for what I spent. Needless to say my event planner and his hard work is what made my daughters sweet 16th a memorable one that my guest and I will never forget!! The placed looked like a million bucks and the birthday girl's happiness was all that mattered!I hope the owners can appreciate the constructive feedback as something you can reflect on and make some changes. We gave your place an opportunity and I personally will not recommend this to anyone unless they work on their customer service. The staff that worked under them did the best they could so thank you to them. We will definitely look into different banquet halls for future events.
