Holiday Inn Express & Suites Thunder Bay, an IHG Hotel

This hotel had availability when our car broke down, so we booked it right away. They were so kind and gracious, letting us rebook day after day until our car was fixed. The rooms were fantastic. The pool area was clean and refreshing after so much stress. And the breakfast was plentiful and yummy. The lady who looks after the breakfast area was fantastic...she always was singing her little do-da, with a smile. All the front desk attendants were helpful and friendly.

Stayed for a few nights and was fantastic!Rooms were decent, we enjoyed pool and hot tub, breakfast was plentiful.Shout out to front desk staff, top notch customer service!In terms of room, beds were just ok, mattress for us was a bit uncomfortable but not terrible. That said, our family in another room liked their beds so guess a matter of opinion or maybe ours were older as they seemed lumpy.Walls in rooms could use a wash looked like glue stains and various dirty spots but just a sign of wear and tear. Room has a microwave and fridge, as well as an iron and ironing board for those who need it. The maids did a great job, ensuring the rooms were clean upon arrival. Overall rooms were very comfortable.Breakfast had plenty of selection, including bacon on one day day, which was delicious! Too bad it wasn't available every day! Coffee was actually very good and food choices were plentiful.We would definitely stay here again if the price was right. We have stayed at other competitor hotels in the area but i have to say this one is exceeded the others in many ways. Hope to stay here again, but a bit on the pricy side so will all hinge on that. Highly recommend this Holiday Inn to others when in Thunder Bay, you won’t be disappointed!

I was on a trip driving from B.C. to Ontario and since I was an IHG member, I stayed at several Holiday Inns along the way.This hotel was my favorite above all.The best experience, overall, for me during this trip. I wish I had time to stay more than one night.Amazing, hard working staff that made me feel welcome. CLEAN, quiet, comfortable room. Seriously clean!If you are ever staying in Thunder Bay, this is the only hotel you should be booking with.Exceptional. Thank you. Thank you.Also, an amazing restaurant right next door.
