Recently (within the last several years) started going to see Dr. Chiasson for preventative eye care exams. I've been very impressed with the experience Island Eye Care provides. It's very fluid and organized. Feels like a well oiled machine. The staff are friendly and can answer any question or concern that might arise during the process. Must add that they are fantastic with children as well. Highly Recommend.

Excellent customer service! I made an appointment for my elderly mother and after some medical questions she was booked. The staff were professional and warm, explaining things as they went. My mom was very pleased with the whole experience. She received necessary and timely care. Well done, Island Eyecare!

Highly trained friendly personnel, exceptional care for each person requiring assistance, appear to be in abundance.When your turn comes, one does not feel rushed! I am so impressed with the large array of up-to-date technological tools and machinery that produce razor-sharp results so necessary in the diagnosis of each person’s problem! Dr. Macinnis and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They were extremely thorough with the testing and made sure to explain each and every step along the way so it was easy for me to follow along and understand. They all made the experience extremely comfortable and welcoming ☺️

I've been to my share of optometrists in my life. I've been wearing glasses since the age of 5. This is the first time I felt included in the whole process. From the friendly smiles greeting you as you walk in, to the wonderful technicians who assist, to the very knowledgeable optometrist who answered all the questions I had, the advanced technology that they possess and to the lovely person who assisted in helping pick out my new frames. The whole process was a breeze! I would definitely recommend Island Eye Care!!!

First time at Island eye care. I have some existing issues with eyes and after moving to Cape Breton it was very important to be to find a good optometrist and I was not disappointed. I found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and respectful. The care I received was top notch. I highly recommend this optometrist.

They were extremely friendly and made me feel like I had been with them for years, even though it was my first time in. I felt very comfortable and safe in their building, every chair has a sign to say that it’s clean and it’s only removed once you sit in it, and they’re very good to explain what each machine does! This was the best experience I have ever had with an optometrist :)
