Rooms is an interactive museum making the visit so fun!! It's weird that they make you pay for parking AND pay to get in, but it was well worth it, we had a wonderful time!

A lovely museum with a nice shop and restaurant. The views are absolutely spectacular! The kids like the Newfoundland animals exhibit. I loved the addition of the instruments and rug hooking exhibits that you could interact with.If you're coming to Newfoundland it is definitely worth a visit.

Lots of interesting (NL) wildlife, history, indigenous and war exhibits to view and interact with as well as various activities for children. The art exhibit showcasing NL artist Pratt was nice and some of the sculptures were thought provoking but I didn't have much interest in the digital art and there was quite a lot of empty space which could have been used to showcase a lot more of our wonderful NL artist's work.It was very nice having lunch at the full service Cafe and the views cannot be beaten. The view of the Harbour and the Narrows was spectacular, especially on a sunny afternoon. The gift shop was quite expensive and had some interesting items but very little NL themed products. It was somewhat disappointing. I thought it might offer hand-knits or traditional NL crafts and artwork. The reason I've only rated it 4 stars is because of the Art Exhibit. I felt it could have showcased more artists and more variety.Otherwise, the rooms was a lovely experience and I highly recommend a visit!

Interesting museum. Access to archives for genealogy search is free. Museum has teo exhibit halls. One with small fossil exhibit, indigenous artifacts and preserved wildlife, the other with maritime and indigenous artifacts. There is a small gallery displaying works from prominent east coast artists. The cafeteria on the top floor has magnificent views of the harbour. First Wednesdays of the month are noted to be free entry. Admission averages $6.50 to $10 all other times. Most of the exhibits are wheelchair accessible and there are some hands on activities for the kids. Check their website for special events or presentations. Parking on site is $2 per hour and there is a gift shop. Affordable local attraction.

Just a spectacular building! Very well laid out and beautifully designed. The Rooms kept us entertained and informed all morning. The cafe looked nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The views from 'the rooms' were brilliant. A must see in St John's. Plenty of affordable parking on site. Gift shop. Many interactive setups for children.

The museum is fantastic. The admission fee is quite affordable, yet there are so many things to see that we had to rush through a few sections to make sure we were not missing out on anything. The cafe was a pleasant surprise. The service was great and we enjoyed our meal surrounded by stunning scenery.

Great museum with a lot of exhibits - the rooms of each exhibit are quite large so give yourself a lot of time to walk through. They do have 2 observation decks for you to view the beautiful city. They have a kids area to enjoy books, activities, touch an iceberg and instruments!
