2nd Edit: I’m changing my review from 1 to 3 stars. Keith finished the report early this morning after I posted my initial review. He was still unprofessional and rude, but he did get the job done. Maybe it was just a bad day for him.1st Edit: A job is not finished if it’s done wrong. I’m still willing to pay you extra for the edited report and will change my review if you make this right.Initial Review:If you can find someone else to do the job, go with them.Keith with Soot Busters was very unprofessional and rude to me. If you like that type of experience, then hire him.I paid for a fireplace inspection. I spoke with a lady on the phone who Keith later said is the owner. I told her exactly what needed to be done and that included in the inspection report I needed exact phrasing my loan agency was asking for. She said no problem and that they’ve been doing this for 30 years and know exactly what I need.Keith didn’t get the memo and wrote the report wrong (don’t blame him). Had to call multiple times throughout the day for anyone to pick up the phone. Keith sounded bothered by me and was unprofessional and rude when I asked him to edit the report. I even offered to pay him extra for his time, which he declined. Said he’d have the report ready the next morning and no sooner, which is frustrating, but understandable.I called once the next morning to see if it was completed or to see when he’d have it done by. Keith answered and was very unprofessional and rude. Said I had called him 9 times (don’t know where he got the number. possibly a total from the past few days?) I asked to speak with the owner and he said he wouldn’t give me her information and then hung up on me. Wish I could leave lower than 1 star review.My review shall stay 1 star until the situation is resolved.

Called for them to come and clean my chimney. Gave BS story and didn't even clean the chimney. Charge $60 for an inspection that I didn't need. NFPA states RECOMMENDS annual inspection, not required. If I was to go to a tire shop to get new tires, the tire shop is gonna give me new tires because that's the service I requested for. Same with jiffy lube. I ask for an oil change, they change the oil. Thanks Keith for your dishonesty. What a thief!

Scheduled this company to come out and do a Chimney Cleaning Service. Gentleman came out, walked in my house, looked up the fireplace and said your good. That will be $125. Why should I be charged if you didn't do anything. What a scam. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

The absolute worst repair job ever. We put in a service call to have an Appalachian Stove blower repaired. The first visit the technician said he needed to order parts. Then the weather got warm and we forgot about it. A year later we put in another request. Same technician came out and said he needed to order parts. Finally got the blower fixed. It worked twice and stopped. Same technician came out and took blower for two weeks. Returned the blower stating that there were a few screws loose on the part he JUST REPLACED. Would never recommend this service to anyone. 0/5 Stars

We had a no call/no show the day before, for a fireplace inspection. We had already scheduled our move-out inspection with the rental company and were in a time crunch.....Soot Buster Chimney Sweep came to the rescue in short notice, he was a life saver, quick and efficient. I would highly recommend him to anyone that wants reliable service.

I highly recommend Soot Buster Chimney Sweep!! The technician was a super nice honest person. Reasonable prices! Was able to get a quick appointment, and he called me when he was on the way to my house so I could meet him there. Very accommodating! Thank you for the great service!

Waste of my time. Waited 3 weeks for someone to come out and clean my chimney. Even told them I had an insert and they blocked out a bigger time frame. Super friendly guy showed up an hour early not a problem. But didn’t do anything he looked down my chimney told me what needed to be done and his back hurt so he would have to come back, charged me 60$ and left. When I called back I was told I was gonna have to wait another 3 weeks and it was going to be 100 something dollars more. Wish I could have my 60$ back.

Keith was really great. We had just bought a house and needed a chimney inspection. He took the time to explain to me that the original builders didn't install the chimney correctly and that price wise it wasn't work it to try and fix. He sealed the chimney and waterproofed the outside. Extremely nice individual who knows exactly what he is doing. Would definitely recommend him to everyone who needed a chimney guy!
