Sobeys - Gimli

Excellent store, as expected they do more baking and have more stock in the summer than the winter due to Gimli being in cottage country. Being a local we know when they do baking and we ask when deliveries are expected. Sobeys Gimli is a wonderful store with great customer service.

As an employee of Gimli sobeys I just want to say to those of you who have complaints about our store being too small or not enough cashiers. Just remember we are in a small town and not alot of people want to work in a small town. That's why they hire the high school kids to work for them. And to be honest. They are the best bosses anyone could ask for. They are very understanding of their employees sceduals outside of their work lifes. And as a cashier I hear all the complaints about the store. And as a team member of sobeys I just want to say if your from the city (not trying to sound mean or anything) just remember we arent a big city store like the sobeys in Winnipeg are we are a small locally owen sobeys. And I am proud to be an employee and working for them. So for the young people in the area. We need some more young folks to work and make our team more stronger then ever. Btw I'm a high school kid as well speaking up for my work place.

It would be helpful if they could crack a smile once in a while. I prefer a friendly place to shop

Just moved to Gimli for a long-term stay & wasn't sure what to expect or what to do for food. Glad to find something familiar like Sobeys even though it's much smaller than amy other Sobeys I've seen elsewhere. Still though they have a fairly good product selection, although the prices seem higher than the city. I was actually impressed that I could find things like A2 milk, Okra & Kombucha here which I wasn't expecting! The staff here are all lovely & customer service is excellent.

Went in yesterday for a rotisserie chicken meal. I asked the deil staff if I had the right product for the combo and was given it. At the cashier it didn’t come up as the combo price. The poor cashier went to the deli 2-3 times to get the right product code or combo code. I finally said enough and left my full basket and went to COOP. Please maybe get the pricing right and train up your staff better. Im not blaming the staff but the store management. You owe your staff and customers better.Late afternoon FEB 10/2023Cheers

The store is ok with pretty good service but the prices are a bit crazy sometimes. Sometimes they have good sales but that's if they have enough in stock. If you come a few days after the sale starts, they might not have the product. Some products are good quality, some are pure junk. Just watch wut you buy.

Very busy during the summer tourist season, but the line moves quickly with the queuing lanes.

Was in the store today at deli counter. The elderly woman that was supposed to be working the deli was in the aisle talking with someone she knew had her back turned away from deli, the person she was talking with saw customers waiting at the counter for her but never told her. The person also waiting for service said he would come back again for the 3rd time because no one was ever in the deli department. About 4-5 minutes later she finally turned and saw customers waiting, I told her about the other customers that walked away and comments made. Her reply to me was I’m not the only one working here. I left before I said something nasty to her. As I was walking away the person she was talking with came back to finish talking.Great customer service deli department -NOT
