Orillia-Ramara Airport

If you’re flying to Orillia, be aware that they’re still using the old frequency (122.8), even though they’ve changed to the new frequency last winter.There’s a woman which I don’t know the name that was EXTREMELY rude to me. I had some conflict with traffic and she came to me being passive aggressive and telling me I’m a bad pilot (yes, she said that). She assumed I wasn’t carrying the CFS on board because of the conflict and gave me a copy of it. She also said that I had to use the correct frequency and I’ve pointed the frequency 122.95 written on the CFS (which I was using it hahaha).Honestly, I don’t know how you can be this rude to a person you never met before and it’s visiting the airport. It was a one time visit only because of this lady, she wasn’t receptive at all lolThe restaurant itself it’s good, I have nothing to complain about (just the price) and the view is priceless. The waitresses were nice too!

It was not exactly an airport. It looked like personal plane hanger. But it is one of the most prettiest I have ever seen. Loved it

Our first fly in today. My wife and I loved the setting. Water, geese, wildlife, float planes and planes with under carriage. Paradise for private pilots. The menu looked great but we had simple fare this trip. Looking forward to revisiting and spending more time and having a full meal. We highly recommend it.

Small airport for small airplaneUse mostly for hobby flyer and educational purposesA good restaurant located at end of its area called tail wing restaurant and this one has a unique atmosphere should try itAirport has roofed nest which is used for parking of airplanes, that is good for park your small airplane during the wintertime

A great place to go and plane watch. Tailwinds restaurant did not disappoint. Will be going back.

We stopped for lunch. The 3 meals were all excellent, very tasty. Service was first class. Enjoyed watching the planes and helicopters come and go. Worth the drive.

Second time flying in to CNJ4. Absolute must for anyone looking for a place to fly in to a grab a bite to eat. Tailwinds has (top tier) Big City" quality food that would rival any other airport. I'd be shocked if there was better. Very cool setting as well on Lake St. John and parking right outside the resteraunt. Cant wait to eat on the patio this summer. Servers and staff are all amazing as well. 10/10 keep up the fantastic work guys and gals!"
