Cut Rate Foods

We entered the store with the intent to restock our groceries. We had been on the road for 3 days and needed to restock some essential items. As we walked in an older man walked by us and simply told told us “No dogs in the store!” My wife has a certified ESO animal. We told the man that we had all the necessary paperwork and certificates with us, didn’t matter, the man just kept repeating “No dogs in the store!” So we placed our purchases on the counter and walked out. The man was simply VERY rude! Our ESO animal was in my wife’s arms being carried (6 lb dog). We just left never to return. I checked and there was no markings on the door. As a side note, my “animal” was cleaner than most of the people tromping through the store in work/hunting clothes.

This is the grocery store! Good selection for being so far away from everything. Canadian debit cards or cash (Canadian or American) only!

I needed gluten free food because of my celiacThis store helped with all my needs.I was concerned that I would not be able to find enough gluten free food, I think gluten free started in Canada, I never had any problems while traveling in BC.

Tied for the l best grocery store in all of Stewart

Started shopping at this store (Charlie's) 1971. Memories. So friendly in fact, I nearly forgot to pay after chatting at the check out. The best steaks, very fresh produce and very friendly staff. Jose Guay (Bilka).

All the things you need in a very old town with one way out...got what we were looking for.

This is THE place to do your grocery shopping when in Stewart. They have the usual fresh meat, produce and grocery items but also much, much more. They stock clothing, household items and some hardware. Great place to shop in Stewart. We made many trips there during our 4 day visit.EVERYONE was really cool in Stewart. My husband lost his wallet over at the bake shop and the town did their best to help us. Wallet thankfully retrieved! We LOVE Stewart!

Considering almost but focking nowhere prices are good and staff are great

I really like this place. Staff are friendly and helpful. A good selection for a small town.
