This is a gem of a store if you're looking for a top quality acoustic guitar. The selection is surprisingly large and varied for a small shop, and there are always new items coming through. The owners, Jenn and Paul, are the very best to deal with. They provide a relaxed atmosphere for trying out the guitars, are extremely knowledgeable, and completely trustworthy. If you're looking at their offerings on their web site, you can be confident that what they describe is exactly what they have. And if you do buy, either in person or from a distance (I've done both), be assured that the service they provide is second to none.

Paul and Jenn were great to deal with. I found a guitar I was interested in on line--sent an email and Paul called me right back. He spent a half-hour on the phone describing the guitar--no pressure but very knowledgeable. I ordered the guitar, it arrived in perfect condition a few days later--exactly the day he said it would. Have not visited the store but I certainly will next time I'm on that part of the world!

An amazing guitar shop! I spent two long afternoons in Bluedog Guitars during my brief stay in Vancouver recently. I was blown away by the top notch boutique and individual luthier instruments there - Santa Cruz, Lowden, Froggy Bottom, Huss and Dalton, Webber, Shelley Park, Bourgeois, Bedell, and even Kevin Ryan! The shop owners Jenn and Paul are super helpful and friendly, and are very knowledgeable about uber high end acoustic guitars. I am still contemplating a purchase, and luckily they ship worldwide!A must go for serious guitar enthusiasts.

I bought an incredible Santa Cruz H-model guitar from Blue Dog GUitars. My buying experience was exceptional. I love meeting shop owners like Jenn and Paul. They're all around good people who love guitars and want to share that love with the world taking exceptional care of their customers along the way. They went the extra mile to make sure I would be happy with my decision. I am, to say the very least.

I recently went there with my significant other, Ian to pick up a particular Lowden...a guitar he had searched high and low for in the States. We live in the Seattle area and made the trip to Vancouver when we came across the guitar in Bluedog Guitar's online store. The guitar was even better than advertised! He held it with a credit card and we traveled there the next day. The customer service was amazing. This store is a hidden gem tucked away in an obscure industrial park. I only wish we could have spent more time there! So many guitars so little time! Paul made it easy for us to want to do business with him again and again! RUN don't walk to Bluedog for great instruments and superb customer service.

As a session musician, the quality of my equipment is the difference between working or not. All of my dealings and transactions with Jenn at Bluedog have been excellent. It must have been the stunned and overwhelmed expression on my face that prompted another customer at a music store in the Vancouver area to suggest that I go to Bluedog Guitars to purchase my first guitar.Being a petite, small-handed woman, I was concerned about what kind of guitar would be best suited to me. Jenn was so excited to help me when I showed up at Bluedog and found the perfect guitar for me. Although this store obviously caters at least in part to experienced guitar players looking for high end guitars, Jenn and Paul never made me feel 'dumb' or 'awkward' about my newbie-ness and stock their charming space with guitars for a variety of people with a variety of budgets and abilities. I feel my new GSMini will be a guitar I can use now, and grow into over the years once my fingers have calloused and I've mastered this frustrating D chord!Paul spent time with my husband teaching him how to change the strings, and we left the store feeling that we had been properly accessorized with the necessary tools (tuner, etc.) but not oversold too either. I better educated about my guitar and what we were getting ourselves into as new players ... and better educated about the guitar world in general.We will certainly be back ... probably for one of the shows they host in their unique space.

Custom shop strat arrived quickly, exactly as described, professionally packaged for shipping and most importantly, sounding and playing great!!! I highly recommend this shop and can't wait to visit in person.

If you are looking for high quality acoustic guitars then you would be completely insane to look anywhere else after finding this place. The store is like something out of a fairy tale and is truly an experience just going in there for a visit. This is the kind of place that I thought didn't exist anymore but was proven wrong immediately after entering. All the staff are great and Jenn is an extremely kind and helpful lady. Paul was also lovely and was very helpful in letting me try several guitars. These people know their guitars better than nearly anyone I've met! Their selection is incredible and you can tell that they have the philosophy of never carrying anything but the best of the best of quality. Some guitars in here sound like something out a dream.Do yourself a favor in life and take a visit to Bluedog when you are able. It's worth whatever effort it takes to get to them in the rare times they are open.
