Penang Szechuan Cuisine Restaurant
One of the best laksa I've had. The satay is close to authentic. The Indonesian fried noodles, spicy and tasty. Deep fried prawns was spot on, the crust was crunchy and not soft. Rounding the dinner with the pan fried rice noodle with beef. All the dishes were tasty. My fav was the laska, perfectly spicy but not too spicy. Highly recommend.

It's not really clear why this place has such a high rating. I went because it was right across the border, and the reviews were good. But the string beans I got was undercooked and slightly raw, the noodles and fried rice were ok. I'd skip and head further north to Richmond for amazing Chinese food.

This unassuming eatery is largely invisible. You blink an eye, you will miss it.When you visit this place, you will be surprised how busy their take out service is. There is a beeline of pickups including Skipthedishes and Uber.We went in for dinner with family and were in for pleasant surprise. The service is akin to visiting a family owned restaurant. The food is good, not great. The pricing is on average of $16 average entree, so it's not cheap.The food was not disappointing but if you are expecting incredibly finger licking yummy food, you shouldn't! Again, it's a good fix for spicy Asian food. We had Tom Yum Soup, garlic sauce chicken, Sesame chicken, and Chicken Pad Thai.I wouldn't mind visiting again soon. Simply because I will support a mom and pops business than a franchise.

Ordered Beef with Broccoli, House Special Chow Mein, and Sweet and Sour Chicken. Food was well seasoned, chicken and beef were tender. The portions were also good for the price. The only negative for us was that, for roughly $16 bucks an entree, I would have expected some complimentary white rice.

First time at this restaurant so it's hard to say how the food normally is, but the take out food was very lack luster. The pork was dry and almost tasted burnt. The roti canai was hard and seemed almost frozen. The sauce wasn't bad but was very minimal. I don't want to say anymore as I have only been once, but based on the one experience I won't be coming back.Also the pictures show how much sauce was actually included for the roti canai. Absolute nonsense.

Went here for a quick dinner. Sat down with my gf. Took 15 - 20 minutes for the waitress to give us a menu even though only three tables were seated. Elderly couple beside us waited so long for food that they demanded for a refund and left to eat somewhere else. There was a bug in our soup and the noodles with pork was mediocre. The older couple said this restaurant used to be so good

First time we went to white rock, it is really beautiful city and the people here are very friendly. I came this restaurant because one of my friend recommended it to me, this is the first time I try the laksa, very big portion with a lot ingredients. The pancake dip with the special sauce also very impressed, their dessert is very amazing, not very sweet and so yummy. For sure I will go with my friend again. Highly recommend!!

Just found out this place changed hands and the new owner is doing a great job. New dishes are inventive, while the old favourites are still authentic. There was a steady stream of takeout and delivery orders while we were there, but food still came out at a brisk pace. Very efficient kitchen. Highly recommended for old customers and new customers alike.

Service was inattentive and lazy. When we arrived we were the only customers but we were left waiting a good five minutes before the waitress brought menus. Then we had to ask to see the lunch special menus. Took another ten minutes before she took our order. Received half cup of tea which was never refilled. No water offered. The food was uninspired. Tiny bowl of hot and sour soup was spicy enough but strangely sweet. My chicken dish had barely any chicken and consisted mainly of onions. I liked the spiciness but it was also strangely sweet. My companion had a different chicken dish and barely ate anything it was so bad. I really don’t like leaving negative reviews but this place is terrible. Don’t waste your time or money. There are plenty of good places to eat in White Rock so I advise you to give this a miss.
