Simplified Tech

I reached out to Simplified Tech with some questions about different systems for unified whole-home audio and home theater audio with surround sound. Johnny responded promptly and we had a productive phone call discussing my requirements and the capabilities of a few vendors. Based on that conversation, he put together quotes for three different systems and answered additional questions I had.I decided to go with a Sonos Amp-based solution with Episode in-ceiling speakers (Johnny recommended) and Polk towers (my pick), and Johnny worked with me to make a few modifications to fit my budget; I e-signed the contact, paid 50% of the cost of parts, and Johnny ordered the equipment. There were some delays out of his hands with Sonos' product availability, but Johnny was responsive and/or proactive in communication about the status (email and/or text messages). When he got confirmation of the hardware shipping from Sonos, Johnny contacted me to schedule the install and confirm expectations about the pieces I was supplying (e.g. power, networking, logistics, and measurements).The install itself went smoothly, from what I could tell, and Johnny wore a mask and maintained appropriate COVID-safe distance the whole time. When the hardware install was complete, Johnny walked me through a demo of the system and answered questions about its use. We encountered a problem with audio playback from my TV, which turned out to be from a damaged or defective HDMI cable I'd supplied--Johnny rescued the situation with a cable from his truck and even helped pull it through the wall in place of mine, which was certainly going above and beyond his responsibility for this job.Johnny also had much higher standards of making everything look nice than I required--even organizing cables he didn't install and adding a nice cable pull-through faceplate in the side of my cabinet where I'd previously been content with a bare hole. It seems clear he takes pride in his work and it shows.I'd be happy to work with Johnny / Simplified Tech again!

Johnny did a great job for us in reworking our TV and sound systems upstairs and down. He just quietly completed the job we had agreed on, gave us a tutorial on how to use the new equipment, and checked in afterwards to see that everything was working properly. He was clear about when he would be available and was professional throughout this experience. We would have no problem recommending his services to others.

Johnny made it incredibly easy to update our Wi-Fi and a/v throughout the house. We’d put this off for years because we just didn’t have the time or expertise to address on our own. Everyone is enjoying the new systems…so much more functional!

Simplified Tech is fantastic to work with! We installed Lutron Caseta smart lighting which worked really well with our complicated remodel project, allowing us to place our light switches exactly where we needed them. I love the scene functions as well! We are a big fan of the ecobee thermostat he installed and the ability to control these settings remotely from our phone. We also did a Sonos sound system and a Ring security system which are wonderful! Johnny was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in guiding us through the various options. He was timely and considerate in installation and even vacuumed any debris as he went! He took the time to explain how each system worked and helped us get set up with each of the systems and their apps. I could not be more pleased and would highly recommend simplified tech! He truly makes it simple to have a ‘smart home’.

We had a Ring doorbell, Nest thermostat and a Google Nest hub installed. Everything works great and the automation and connectivity makes life smooth and simple!

Johnny and Simplified Tech have brought us quickly, painlessly, and seamlessly into the 21st century as far as our home tech is concerned. After years of muddling along with outdated technology, our internet is now faster than ever, our live tv and streaming choices are simple and effective, and we are loving the ease of our home monitoring system.

Utilizing Simplified Tech was the best decision we made with our housing project. Now I’m not someone who normally write reviews— but after my recent experience with Johnny Davy and his business, I feel compelled to share my happiness with Simplified Tech. From the beginning of our project to the final touches, Johnny was hands on guiding us through technology options that truly as made my life easier. He consistently stood out amongst the many professions we used in our project— Johnny was knowledgable, professional, clean, and TIMELY. He wears little booties and cleans up every bit of mess he makes. Did I mention he was on time!? Every time. For anyone who has undertaken a large remodel or construction project, you understand the importance of someone actually being there when they say they will and materials arriving when the are supposed to. Johnny had excellent communication and Simplified Tech was the only part of our remodel project that went not only perfectly smooth but BETTER than expected. The TVs and sound systems were perfectly installed. The speakers were placed into the walls and ceilings and can even be made the same color as my walls! Our smart thermostats and smart lighting are incredible I can turn off every light in my house now by pressing one single button. He upgraded our security system and even told us the best bulbs to use on our smart lights. Johnny guided us through the entire process and saved us time and money over what I would have done on my own! Simplified Tech is simply wonderful and I fully intend to use them again and will be recommending them to family and friends! Thank you Johnny!!

Johnny did a great job with my system. He spent a lot of extra time with me to address my concerns and provided a very custom set up to me at A fair price. He took time to work with me and be creative on a bespoke system that addressed my needs. He was cost sensitive and provided options. He gave me a full explanation of everything he did. I will use him in the future for similar projects and recommends him to my friends and family.

We were very happy with Simplified Tech. Johnny provided installation with exacting attention to our needs, including the dynamics of the space in which the equipment was placed, and the overall acoustic goals for our sound system. The best part is the support after installation where you get complete instruction on how to control the equipment installed. We found johnny to be trust worthy and easy to work with.
