I have come to know the Chartwell facility, Chateau Cornwall, not only as a retirement residence but as a family unit on its own. My mother has discovered as a resident and I have seen firsthand that the community of seniors here are brought together by a cohesive staff team that put their hearts into their responsibilities every day.The staff ultimately set a very high standard of mutual respect for one another and this behaviour spills over to the residents. This is a very challenging work environment but the team makes it look pleasant.Especially challenged by the Covid threat, I must also point out that Jasmin Parker and her coworkers have singularly succeeded in creating an energizing sanctuary that has kept the resident population comfortable, active and free from the outside health threat.So, what you have before you in Chateau Cornwall is a lodging you can entrust your precious family members to unconditionally! I can’t thank everyone enough for what this residence has done to protect and care for my elderly mother!

The friendliest kindest staff . Always smiles , happy people . They really care about their residents . It's always very clean and sanatized . The residents are smiling , it's just a happy place to B . ( Bingo) .

As a performer/entertainer at Chateau Cornwall I cannot say enough about the feeling I get from the warm happy smiles that greet me every time I am there. The residents are well cared for by the hard working, dedicated staff and it shows. We have so much fun in the main gathering space singing and laughing. The space is bright and cheery and perfect for an intimate concert /or quietly bird watching. It is a joy to play there and feel like I am among friends. I always look forward to going back!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the whole team at Chateau Cornwall for taking such good care of my parents over the past years. We are truly fortunate and appreciative for the caring staff who look after our elderly population and our loved ones with compassion and humanity.

I have been a resident at Chateau Cornwall for 5 years and have felt at home from day one. All the staff, the care team, the housekeepers, the dining room staff and Managers always greet us with a pleasant smile. The opportunity is there to be as busy as you want to be or you can go to your room and be quiet without interruption. All kinds of activities you can try and an exercise program 4 mornings a week keeps us fit. The food is varied, homemade and the menus change with the seasons, everything is very tasteful. 5 years later I'm still content and happy to be at Chateau Cornwall.

Since becoming a resident of Chateau Cornwall, my mother, Catherine, has enjoyed exceptional treatment! The staff are friendly and caring to both residents and visiting family and friends. When you walk into the building, you immediately feel a sense of community and family. Since having to give up living on her own, I have not had to worry about my Mom. She is in excellent hands at Chateau Cornwall and I, her daughter [and her son-in-law Jim] are so very grateful!

Mom moved into Chartwell in December 2021. The care Mom has received since is exemplary. Marvel MacDonald welcomed Mom in with enthusiasm; she is a lovely person and perfect for that venue. The rest of the staff are so knowledgeable in their fields, are loving and kind, and Mom is settling in well after a difficult year alone without Dad. The transition was tough, but made easier by the kind welcome. The atmosphere is warm and peaceful, the surroundings elegant. The food is well made, delicious and healthy. We had lunch with Mom one day and we were treated with kindness and respect. That’s the way Chartwell is run. I highly recommend this retirement home.

Six months ago I began the journey of helping a family member begin their transition to a retirement residence. As I began my research one name kept coming up over and over with very positive reviews, Chartwell Chateau Cornwall Retirement Residence.My first contact was with Marvel Macdonald, Retirement Living Consultant. She was absolutely amazing to provide us with all the information necessary to make our decision to pick Chateau Cornwall as our family member’s new home. COVID added extra stress in this process, but the administration team went over and above to make sure this transition went as smooth as possible --- and it did!Moving from your own home to a retirement home under the best of circumstances is a very large and sometimes difficult adjustment to make. I am over the top impressed with the personal care, attention to detail, and accommodations made that provided a loving, caring and patient adjustment period so our family member could really call Chateau Cornwall “home”.It is no wonder that our community in Cornwall holds this Retirement Residence in such high Regard. Thank you to all the team at Chateau Cornwall.

Chateau Cornwall has been a blessing in our lives. My father has now made this his home for the last 10 months. His transition into the home has been so comforting for myself and my siblings, it could not have been any better, thanks to the staff led by Jasmine Parker. They are remarkable, they truly care about the residents and make everyone feel like they’re part of the family.I am so grateful & thankful that places like Chartwell Chateau Cornwall exists for people like me that live so faraway from their aging loved ones. It gives me a peace of mind knowing he is taking care of that they have all of his best interest at heart and truly do treat him with the utmost dignity and respect he deserves.Thanks to Marvel MacDonald for ALL her help, she is REALLY good at her job, is really caring & loving & I made a friend when meeting her. Also want to thank all the wellness team, nurses aides and staff for always staying on top of dad’s medical needs, again the whole team @ Chateau Cornwall is a blessing in our lives.I highly recommend this residence for your ageing loved one.

I've had the very pleasant experience of being guided by Marvel through the process of finding a new home for my father. He's been there for almost a month and has settled into his new home so well already. She was helpful and patient, answering all of my questions about the process. I couldn't have done it without her. Everyone at the Chartwell Chateau Cornwall have been excellent, including Sabrina and Don. I highly recommend getting a tour of this fantastic facility if you are looking for a retirement home. The atmosphere is very homey and upbeat and it's a very modern and spotless residence. They offer cleaning services, laundry, all of the delicious meals are also provided, this gives your loved one much less to worry about. There's even an on-site hair salon. Very highly recommended.
