Peggy's Cove Lighthouse

Located about an hour's drive from Halifax, Peggy's Cove is famous for its iconic lighthouse perched atop granite rocks along the rugged coastline. What a fantastic sighting! Probably the most iconic lighthouse in Nova Scotia and possibly Canada. Such a great area to enjoy a day, with the rocky landscape, roaring tides, and massive lighthouse. There's plenty of parking spots in the area, but can get packed during the afternoon. The walk isn't more than 10 minutes. There's a new wooden viewing platform in the area as well, right by the restaurant.

It's an amazing place with a gorgeous view of the ocean, which can be aggressive due to the weather!Despite the foggy day, the number of tourists like us was huge :) I'm happy we had a chance to visit this gorgeous lighthouse!This is a must-see" landmark if you are visiting Nova Scotia."

Loved the view and atmosphere. It was somewhat crowded when we went. But if you're patient you'll be able to get a good picture of yourself in the White House or on some of the nearby boulders. Definitely worth the visit. Dog friendly.

Wonderful place with a perfect ocean view! The most famous lighthouse in Canada. You should come early in the morning to avoid crowds of tourists.

It's been awhile since I've been here. Always a beautiful place. It's definitely more of an accessible area now with the boardwalk. Even being early in the season, there were quite a lot of people. I'm disappointed though about the tourist washrooms not being open yet. Once the weather gets nice people come but have to go to the restaurant to use a washroom. Love the scenery. Always windy but wasn't too cold.

If you travel to nova scotia and you love lighthouse views then It’s beautiful place to visit . You will really enjoy the amazing sunset view . Sky will turn out as painting with Color’s at sunset & sunrise time . Colourful houses around Peggy’s cove . A place to sit and enjoy the views of water with sunset reflections. You have ample parking space, you can find restrooms in the gift shop . You can also visit beaches around the place . It’s popular lighthouse place near Halifax.

Lighthouse is meh. The nature and scenery around the lighthouse was amazing. Lots of tourists here when we went. I'd assume that if you came really early in the morning, no one would be there, and then you can take some really good photos and videos of the lighthouse and of the nature around it.Come here to view the nature. The rocks and the waves crashing into it.
