We stayed here for 2 nights while in town for a wedding. Great if you just need a place to crash. It was charming and the staff were great and super friendly. I’d stay here again if I ever find myself back in Russell.Bonus points for having AC in the rooms!

Booked online while travelling to Russell on a Sunday. Arrived to find nobody present, bar closed, restaurant closed. Used 2x phone numbers in attempt to reach them. All extensions either unanswered or directed to a full voice mailbox with, therefore, no option to leave a message. IF the place is open, they presumably do not want clients on a Sunday night despite accepting a booking. If you wish to risk it, I suggest phoning before arriving to confirm whether there will be someone available to let you in.

It was a very nice place to stay. The staff were very helpful. The room was very cool.Had everything that we needed for our brief time in Russell. Heather and her staff are A1!I hope to return in about a year.

I would stay here only if the other option was to sleep in the garbage can.Booked room with two double beds and paid extra money for the additional guest. The manager who arrived to check us in was the gentleman with very unpleasant appearance and dirty hair. The room that was offered is only one bed with bathroom that does not have the door and only covered by curtain. Manager “did his best” by knocking in each room and waking up guests in order to find available room. The hotel was fully booked so manager left and came back with mattress in the back of his pick up truck with absolutely no cover. The closest available hotel was 130 kilometres away which we had to drive in blizzard at night.Never heard any apology from hotel staff.Avoid the hotel at all costs if you have any self respect.

We enjoyed our stay at the asessipi Inn. The room were clean and spacious, bar and restaurant at the same location and a very easy drive to the ski resort. The staff were extremely lovely!!!!! Would definitely stay there again.

In short - don’t book if you are looking for a place to sleep for the night.Why? Because it’s interior fits different objective. Dirty room, dirty bathroom, no bathroom door, loud noises in corridors at 1:00 am, smell of cigarette smoke and weed, hotel management waking you up in the middle of the night or opening the door if you don’t hear the knocking. More fit for bad organized teenage parties where people are too high or drunk to notice any problems.P.S. 1 star for all of the above and completely misleading photos.

Disgusting place. Booked a room with two double beds ahead of time for 3 people, but received a tiny room with one bed and bathroom with no door instead. Very dirty and loud place. The manager (Tyler) was not aware which rooms were occupied, so he knocked all doors and woke people up at 12:30am. All rooms were booked, so we were told that he does not know what to do and will try to find us a mattress. Since there were no place in the room for the mattress and we were not comfortable with open bathroom, we decided to leave. Tyler offered no refund and said “I actually found a mattress for you”. When we left, we saw a mattress with no cover in the back of Tyler’s track. Hopefully this was not the one he brought for us, but I doubt that. Please stay away from this hotel and save your money and vacation. We ended up driving to Saskatchewan at night as all other hotels close by were booked.

We really enjoyed our stay at Russell thanks to the amazing hospitality and service from the young lady Isabelle that worked there. She was so welcoming and helpful.The people in the restaurant downstairs were also so wholesome and guided us around quickly when we needed help.Our room was comfortable and the tv was very clear. We slept well and the room had all the amenities one would need.Thanks for making our stay in Russel a memorable one.

Not the best, not the worst. Rooms are old with outdated amenities but was clean enough. No issues with the staff. Restaurant closed at 6 pm so get there early if you are a person who enjoys eating food.
