Hemispheres Music Studio

My son, Cole, has been taking guitar lessons with Rob for a number of years now. Rob is an extremely knowledgeable, down to earth, talented and dedicated musician and teacher. He tailors everything to the student, whether young or old. Rob and Rebecca have created Hemispheres to be a fun, welcoming, family oriented music studio with top notch instruction and it shows. Thank you for making Cole's musical experience such a positive one. My family and I highly recommend Rob, Rebecca and Hemispheres.

Rebeccah has been teaching both of our daughters simply music since they were 5 (they are now 8 & 10). This foundation is exactly what I was looking for for my daughters. Having taken royal conservatory myself, I was looking for a method where they would learn the chord foundations and be able to play anything for accompanying more up to date and fun music, that would be more practical for a fun night around the piano (as opposed to classical formal music). I have actually learned tips to improve my playing as well! I would highly recommend this style of playing from an early age. The girls have both been engaged and are having fun, while learning with two hands from the start. The semi-annual concerts are super fun too, encouraging every student to be their best. I highly recommend the simply music program (including the videos that go along with it) and Rebeccah. She’s the best!

In 35 years of singing in a band, I learned more about the art of playing guitar in the first half hour than all my years playing in a band. I’ve also had a breakthrough within 2 hours working with Rob. Great teacher, great space and very flexible sessions. I have been a guitar student of Rob's for over 10 years. I initially knew nothing on guitar, but Rob was very patient and kind and taught me all the basics. We worked together on my favourite songs at my own pace and now I can play both electric and acoustic guitar. Each lesson is so much fun as there is something new to learn every time. Rob is without a doubt the best guitar teacher anyone could ever have!

Rob and Rebecca are an amazing duo and very talented musicians! Rob has been teaching our son guitar for several years and we are so impressed at his progress at just 11 years old. Rob is an excellent teacher that leads with patience and kindness and is someone I know our son looks up to. Rebecca has been teaching our daughter piano for over a year now and has brought out her love of music. She always looks forward to showing Rebecca what she has been working on and it has been wonderful to see her progress in only a year. She plays almost all of her songs without the need for sheet music thanks to Rebecca’s method of teaching.Hemispheres Music Studio also puts on great music showcases that truly highlight all of their students hard work and is a pleasure to watch. You guys rock!

Our daughter began acoustic guitar lessons when she was in grade 3, with Rob. He structured sessions so they were easy to follow and fun, along with the right balance of homework, which was perfect to keep her interested and motivated. Over time, Rob has also taught her how to play electric guitar! Now, she is in 4th year university and still continues her lessons with him. She has accomplished so much through Rob’s years of instruction - it’s amazing to hear her play. I would like to say a big thank you to Rob, he is a very talented musician who has great ability, patience, and is an outstanding music instructor.

Hemispheres Music Studio, what can I say......It is a wonderful place filled with wonderful people and they are creating a great community within their studio, its students and beyond. I have had the pleasure of being part of two wire choir" sessions and they have been amazing. Being able to learn and perform in a group setting is a game changer. The instruction is top notch and you leave each week wanting to practice before the next session as you are doing so for yourself as well as for the group. Strangers become friends as your bandmates cheer each other on through new songs and new chords. If you had of told me two years ago that i would be singing lead vocals

A common friend introduced us to Rob few years ago and recommended that my son pursue his passion for Guitar with Rob.It has been an amazing journey since . He has leaped so ahead in his guitar skills.It’s a treat to watch them both work out the nuances and develop the love for music. Rob is a very patient and encouraging teacher.Krish looks forward to his classes every week .I highly recommend Rob and his whole team to anyone interested to learn music.

I have been playing guitar for about 5 years now and it was a struggle to find somewhere to do my lessons through when the pandemic happened. However, I was able to remotely do lessons with Hemisphere Music Studios all the way from Idaho! I would have weekly Facetime calls with Rob and I would learn so much even though it was all through a phone. Rob was very good about being patient and helping me when I would struggle with a certain part of a song. I was able to learn technical things about music that I didn’t even come close to thinking of before. Another thing I greatly appreciated about Rob was that he catered his lessons to the music that I listen to and the music I like to play. This helped my love for playing the guitar grow along with my skills and techniques. I was also able to participate in a virtual performance with students from afar. It is truly such a wonderful experience!

Hemespheres is an amazing music community. I have been involved in the adult Wire Choir and have felt so supported by Rob, Rebecca, Brandon, Marie and all my band mates as I stepped out of my comfort zone as a musician and performer.
