Special thanks to the branch management for hiring Ukrainian-speaking receptionist. I opened account and deposited my savings easily, and feel confident about my money after having a small conversation with the receptionist lady, Oleksandra, who kindly helped me to understand all the details about saving accounts. I had great experience with CIBC never had issue. Staff are incredibly attentive and polite . Recently went to creat a new account and from all the banks I visited CIBC staff were more helpful and knowledgeable. Hilary was very helpful during the process.Thank You!

I went to the branch in Dec 10 to open safety deposit box. I do not know what happened but my checking account closed abruptly after almost 13 years in Dec 12. I had almost 50 transactions per month and they just closed it!I called call centre and the guy said you did not have transactions with your account thats why they closed it. go and check with the branch!"to be honest it is not the first time I have issues with CIBC and I believe bunch of ignorant people are working at CIBC.I am looking to find a new bank and do not offer CIBC to anyone at all!"

So went into my branch today , was in the rush to get something as simple as a product summary . Was helped at first by teller named Alex, long story short he blacked out half of my account number , what seemed like purposely . Which I needed for Ontario works, which they couldn't accept. With half number blacked out . Caused me to comeback( when I was In rush as it is ) and go with another teller . To get it done properly...Do your job right first time!
