I've started ordering from Blackbird more than I go to the fabric store down the street! I'm willing to wait and pay a little extra for shipping because I just love the fabric that much. I really like that the website has suggestions and is clear on how the fabric drapes, possible uses, and thread matches. It's my go-to these days for all of my COVID sewing!

A curated mix of high quality, on-trend apparel fabric awaits you! The team at Blackbird are detail-oriented, super friendly and they know what fabric sewists want, because they are sewists! I am consistently impressed with what I've learned just by visiting their site. They provide pattern suggestions for each fabric (independent pattern designers FTW), fabric weight, stretch factor (if applicable). Ask for swatches if you're uncertain about a purchase; they're very accommodating. This is hands down my fav way to spend my paycheque -- haha! <3 BBF

I love shopping here! The shipping to the US is a little pricey, but at the time of my purchase, there was a deal for free US shipping if you spend $150. There’s also a first purchase coupon if you sign up for emails! The site is very easy to navigate and there is a lot of info about the fabrics. The shop has tons of notions as well and they print PDF patterns inexpensively! The best part: each fabric I viewed had a recommendation for a matching thread color, which is incredibly helpful for online shopping.

All of her fabrics are high quality, and she’s happy to answer any questions you have about them! This is the first place I’ll go to find fabrics. Take a workshop if you sew too! Caroline makes sure her machines are running smoothly, and that you’re well fed and hydrated throughout the class. Highly recommend!
