When ever I need to take a road trip, this is my preferred location. Always open and have never had issues with not having a car available.Other locations and agencies would not tell you your rental wasn’t available until you arrive.Care have been clean and easy to drop off. Even if they are closed, you can drop off keys inside.

Worst branch I’ve been too - came in from YYZ, they have 4 total arrivals all day and there was no staff working. Had to email the “branch manager” and took 20+ minutes for him to arrive. Have never had this experience to wait this long on a reserved vehicle.Would avoid - use the Avis as they had 2 people readily available.

Renter beware! I rented an older minivan for 24 hours from the Detroit Airport National location (west of here) and then weeks later I received a damage claim for over $2k for very minor damage at different locations on the vehicle. I did not damage the vehicle during the 1-day rental and was not informed of any damage to the vehicle at drop off.I did my best to defend myself and explain the facts to National and it’s claim collection division, but it did not matter. They wouldn’t listen to reason. It was a headache and now I must pay $2k, which means I also must let others know the risks of renting with National. Please beware!

I do not normally write reviews, but doing so as others should know. I had the most horrifying experience with National Car Rental, Windsor, ON. First off, they never answer the phone or return any calls, despite leaving several messages. Second, they charged me an extra day because the rep who took the car closed the rental about 2 hours late (physically returned about 1 PM, but time invoice was after 3 PM). After explaining to the National customer service center (this may be a Canadian call center/central office number), I was promised the refund, but upon following up after 3-4 days I was told the refund was not processed as it is still pending with the location. Kudos to you for such horrific service!!!

We made a reservation for a one-day rental, and returned it within 6 hours and they charged us for more. Horrible experience, will never rent from here again.

My rental experience ended on a rather sour note when I dropped off the car this morning. My first mistake was not returning it full, but despite that, explained that I had used 1/8th of a tank. The agent checked that and returned to the counter stating that I owed $18 for gas. I quickly calculated that to fill the VW Beetle would be ~$150, which isn't possible. He then stated that I used 1/4 tank. We both walked to the car and checked. The needle was half way between full and 3/4 full yet he kept insisting that I used 1/4 of a tank. I kept explaining that half way between full and 3/4 is 1/8th but he stood firm. I also showed him the 8 calibration lines and the fact that the needle was only at the first one. I only drove 50km locally so could not have used 1/4 of a tank either. I don't know if this was a money grab (an extra $10 for them) or just a deficiency with respect to ability to do basic math calculations. I would likely not rent again especially after his parting shot of a very facetious Have a nice day"...."

I had a very polite, nice and friendly experience.Car was not fully fueled, which is a minor annoyance.

Customer service is awesome . Great performance cars .

Does anyone work here? I've been trying to call for days, no answer and the voicemail box is always full.edit - 2 years later, still no one answers the phone or returns messages... customer service is non-existant
