Incredible views, came at 6am for sunrise and did not disappoint!!

If you're looking for a truly unforgettable experience this spring, I highly recommend taking a drive or bike down Platform, the road that passes Laurel Creek Lake. The sound of the toads, frogs, and crickets is simply unbelievable, and it's unlike anything you've ever heard before.Unfortunately, words alone can't do justice to the amazing chorus of sounds you'll hear on this road. I wish I culd share videos with sound enabled to capture the experience for others to enjoy. But even without sound on that video, I can say with certainty that the sounds will stay with you long after you've left the area.In addition to the incredible sounds, the scenery on Platform is simply breathtaking. The lake is surrounded by lush greenery and the drive itself is peaceful and relaxing. It's the perfect way to spend a sunset there.Overall, if you're in the area and looking for a unique and unforgettable experience, I highly recommend taking a drive down Platform. You won't regret it!

The view is nice enough but there isn't a trail to get here. It's on a road and there is no parking.

Hidden gem to just sit and do nothing. Stare away into starry skies, get ready for the mosquitoes if you really dare to sit at night. The ambient sound is really astounding.

A very nice place to sit down and relax.

Gorgeous sunsets and a lovely view for night photography as well. Bust out the DSLR at night and you will have a fun time snapping the night sky. Or grab a drink from Tim and enjoy a great conversation with your friends while staring nature right between the eyes.
