Routes Car Rental

My overal experience was acceptable but to a lower standard. I reserved a car for four days, and the rate here was a little bit cheaper than other companies. That's why I booked here even though it wasn't my preferred choice. The shuttle bus arrived fairly quickly at the pickup location, and that was nice since the office was off the airport. It took me about an hour waiting until I got the car after arriving the office. Several people had issues with extra charges and such. The car I got was different than what I reserved, which is fine. But the car was worn and not clean and just good enough to rent out. My reservation clearly showed unlimited mileage, but they gave me a limited mileage of 200 km a day. I rented cars many times in many cities around the country and the world, and this time by far I had the longest and most complex procedure to sign out a car. The $500 deposit was removed few days after I returned the car. In conclusion, the few dollars I saved weren't worth the extra trouble.

I rented from the YUL Routes location via Argus Car Hire website. I had a Mystery Car Compact or Larger or similar" which turned out to be a Ford Escape for 5 days. Pricing was terrific

1. Good ppl not there fault just bad management . The car was new blue ford escape 2021 but had a very bad oder coming from the ac units the entire time had to spray freshener an still didn’t help! an no wind shield wiper fluid! an was very needed because of snow /raining weather the 2 days I had the rental. The tire pressure an oil change sign was also on …2. The day I returned the car they call to rush me to bring the car back an still had to wait 15 mins because they are under staffed only one person working when I told them over the phone I was running late for my flight they still took their time causing us to miss our flights then have to wait 6 hrs at the airport to catch the next flight back home .

So many things that are sketchy with this company. For one, they never tell you that the car doesn't come equipped with winter tires. My car came with worn out all-season tires, which is illegal in Quebec. Almost got into an accident several times when I tried to break and my car was just skating. You call them and email them and they don't care.Second, they never tell you that there's a $1,500 deposit, which is ridiculous. Reputable car rental agencies charge you a $300 deposit.Third and worst of all, their customer invoice doesn't show any charges. There is no itemized description of charges like normal rental companies have. There's no printed record of your $1,500 deposit on your receipt or what you actually paid for taxes, charges, etc. Seems shady to me.

The team was nice and professional. The trunk was leaking after the rain my clothes got wet. The car was driving fine and very economic on gas

My overall experience was ok but to very lower standard. They treat the Quebecer different than the international customers. They take 1500$ hold from the local while they take 500$ from the international. The limit of the milage is 200km/day.I suggest anyone to read the rules and conditions before renting with them. A lots of rules will surprise you when you will be there.

Quick service and great staff. Priyanka was very helpful in getting me added on as a driver and with checking in our car. The shuttle service was excellent as well, quick and friendly. I would highly recommend them. I will say they are not on site at the airport itself, but can pick you up with shuttle service. Also they do not offer early drop off service, so make sure pickup and drop off work with your flight schedule.

Worse car rental ever!! Tried for days to reach this company to extend a rental. Finaly spoke to some one and negotiated an extension. Never got a confirmation so I decided to bring the car back. Got there late and they charged me $146 for 1.5 hrs late.When asked about the charges. This was there reply...(Please be informed that we do have a live inventory and the prices change as per the market standards. We consider one-day reservations as 24 hours. Any reservation that goes beyond 25 hours including the grace period of one hour is considered as two days rental.As per our records, we see that you picked up the rental at 04:36 PM on 06/06/2023 and the initial drop off was at 04:36 PM on 06/13/2023. However, you chose to drop off your rental at 07:26 PM on 06/13/2023. Hence, you were charged as per the service rendered and the charges are valid as per the process followed. Please be informed that we do have a live inventory and the prices change as per the market standards)Do not rent from here ever!!! Zero customer service!!!!!!!

Their staff is very welcoming from the shuttles driver to guy who is managing the office. The car that I got is very good in condition and easy to drive. It was fuel efficient too. Definitely I rent a car next time too.

They were excellent. The car was great and the staff are super friendly. Remember to bring 2 pieces of ID and a copy of your insurance. The $500 deposit is refunded off quickly after the trip. I would highly recommend then the prices for car rentals is so cheap and the service is excellent.
