Bryson has been my hair stylist for a decade, but today was my first experience at Ka!Boom Hair Salon. As we are experiencing a pandemic, I feel it is important to mention that Ka!Boom's safety precautions for clients and staff is excellent. All staff were well prepared (masks, hand sanitizer, small number of clients and staff in the space at one time, and frequent cleaning of washing stations/chairs/portable trolleys, etc.) to meet health standards, keeping all individuals safe.Bryson's talent and skill is nothing short of amazing. His knowledge of colour, style and cuts demonstrates his years of expertise and ability, and as a true professional who is passionate about hair, he continues to educate himself on new techniques regularly. He wants to make each of his clients look and feel incredible, and his attention to detail is outstanding! I am a multi-racial woman, with mixed hair, and I trust him implicitly with my hair styling/colouring needs. The best thing about Bryson is that he works so hard to make sure that you are happy with your hair, and he never lets you down because he listens.Thank you Bryson and Ka!Boom for making me look and feel refreshed and ready to face the world! I would highly recommend Bryson and Ka!Boom to anyone who wants their expectations exceeded!

My stylist Elena was sweet. However clearly inexperienced! It took her 60 minutes to blow dry and then another 30 minutes to curl my hair. The result was not very good. I had to go home and work on it myself for my event. It was costly ….. they charged 63$ unsure how that number was decided. No discussion of cost… advertising said. 45$. She was nice but I felt Very experienced and yet charged as if she had experience. I expected more for the time and cost.

I have been going to this salon for last 10 yrs. I started with Kelly who is a very knowledgable and a skilled stylist, and would make my hair beautiful every time. I've also seen Ashley and Alex, again both very professional in their care and experienced with the subtle nuances of thick hair, giving me cuts that people compliment all the time. I highly recommend this salon, both for its expertise and care and modern ideology.

Kelly dyed my hair. The other day, I showed her a photo to dye my hair like the photo, but she ruined my hair and she didn't pay attention to anything I told her, This salon was my first experience for a beauty salon in Vancouver and it was really awful.

Erica is perfection. She always makes my hair look amazing, and she is also the only person I trust to cut my kids’ hair. I have red hair, which is so hard to perfect, but she’s always able to create such great color. I’ll never go anywhere else!

It's an addiction to quality that brings me back. The prices are a little high but cleanups are included between cuts and Alex really is at the top of his trade. No one has ever come close to achieving the results he can. He also impresses others I've referred to him. He does amazing work on my wife's hair. Alex takes an immense amount of pride in his precision art form. All staff are welcoming and friendly. The ambiance at the salon is perfect, in fact I routinely populate my music playlists from the deep house usually playing.

I have been a brunette my entire life, but I am almost 100% grey now so hard to stay dark. I was going to let it grow in but Erica suggested I go blonde, cut it shorter and then it will be easier to transition. I didn't want to do it, because I was so worried it would ruin my hair. Erica is a magician! What a major transformation. I posted the photo's on my FB and over 140 people made a positive comment. Erica takes her time, and is a perfectionist. The salon is open and super clean, everyone that works there is super friendly. I highly recommend Erica if you are looking at a great color or cut! My hair looks great so super happy I trusted her expertise!

Alex crushed it! Was spot on with my haircut style request and very attention to detail oriented. Overall great experience.
