Lise's Strawberry Farm/Gaston O'Bomsawin

Locally owned friendly strawberry farm. We enjoy picking strawberries there, you can tell the owners take great pride in their farm. They are always friendly and happy to see you and offer good guidance on where to pick. A great outing for the whole family! We will be back next year!

We annually pick strawberries at this location despite some negative reviews as we’ve never had such an experience…until today. My kids (4 and 7) and I were turned away as they no longer allow children. The statement was that kids are destructive and they are not wanted here. I’m saddened by such a general statement of exclusion. Not all kids break plants, not all kids are disrespectful. We will never support this business again.

Was greeted by a not so nice man who would not let me pick because I had 2 kids with me 7 and 3....like someone else mentioned they advertise online with a kid in the picture.....should have read other reviews before making the ride out....the ppl at Beaulieu farm down the road were extremely kind and kid accepting

Arrived and was informed that we could pick from a place that was already picked over. There were no no smoking" signs and as I exited my car on arrival I lit a smoke and was told to smoke in my car. Respecting this

Our annual outing to pick strawberries turned into a lesson of ageism and double standards for my kids. While seniors and older adults were brought to pick strawberries in the good fields, because I was alone with my three kids (age 9 and 6), we were brought to a field that was going to be plowed that year and sour. I was told I didn’t have to worry if my kids jumped over or trampled the plants, which they would never do, and I would never let them do. My kids are the ones that noticed the older adults jumping the aisles and asked why they were doing that.I have always had a good experience at this strawberry field, but this year was horrible. Being chased down like a criminal because we continued walking to the front to pay and we were picking up the “good” strawberries on the way? I understand this establishment had bad experiences with other kids, but don’t assume they are all the same. I do have to say the daughter and grandson at the cash were very polite and kind. The owner, not so much.We will not be returning for our annual picking and now I understand the reviews and “rumours” from friends that this farm is NOT family friendly.

Awesome sweet strawberry's. Lise's is family friendly farm. I brought my grand daughter she is seven and I showed her how to pick the ripe berries to be respectful towards the hard work that the owners put into these fields of berries. We picked four baskets in one hour..Thank you Lise and Gaston for the wonderful experience and memories that I shared with my daughter...

Highly NOT recommended if you're trying to create fun family memories. The gentlemen was very rude and turned us away telling us that children under 13 years old are to stay in the vehicle while the adults pick berries as no children are allowed to be on or around the fields as kids ruin the field." Who in their right mind would tell you to leave your children in the car? Even his sign says "Children are to be supervised at all times". Very frustrating encounter and will not reattempt. I highly recommend Beaulieu and Rudy's Farms for your berry needs.I wish this man the best with his attempt to run a successful business with his poor customer service skills and the poor reputation he is making for the farm."

Was so beyond disappointed my 9 year wasn’t allowed to pick with us… really? Fearing she would trample the plants and berries…. Trying to support local businesses this summer, but honestly if you can’t bring your kids to pick - I’ll gladly go somewhere that will allow family fun! Ps Beaulieu farms is more then happy to see kids picking ! Take the extra minute and head to Beaulieu’s!

What kind of place tells you to leave your kids in a hot car because kids only ruin their berries. I so not recommend this place. If I could put zero stars I would. We went to ruby farm instead and they had no problems letting kids in to do some picking. Ruby's berries are delicious.

This was the worst costumer service. This farm is not child friendly and will not allow children under 11 to pick strawberries. when arriving we were welcomed not by a hello but by a Children are not allowed to pick berries" Then they suggested that our two children in the group could sit in the car and wait till we are done!"
