Claudia Zysk, of Happy Paws Inn and Resort, is a wonderful dog sitter. Claudia is calm and watchful and my dog felt immediately comfortable with her. Her home is welcoming, dog friendly, and safe. She took our dog for walks during the day and let him sleep on her bed at night. Claudia asked if we wanted photos while we were gone. Of course! So, she stayed in touch and sent pictures daily. When we picked up our dog he was happy to see us, but clearly very comfortable with Claudia.

Claudia is incredible. We needed to go to the east coast for a week and we were nervous to leave our two old dogs for so long. Claudia instantly made us feel comfortable and our dogs love her! She is attentive, communicative, and most of all, kind and loves the dogs she cares for with an open heart. We received texts with photos every day and could not have had a better experience. Also, Claudia's home is secure, organized and her location allows for walks and outside time. We loved the photos of our dogs enjoying walks and relaxing around her house in a calm and nurturing environment.

A very caring getaway for our lovely, rescued Lilly. The animal's welfare is obviously the primary priority with Claudia. :)

In our fifteen years of dog parenting, we’ve had nine different dog sitter opportunities around Oregon and Washington. Claudia Zysk’s Happy Paws stands head and shoulders above the rest. It is clear from your first interaction that Claudia is considering every aspect of your particular dog’s needs to ensure the best experience possible – both for furkid and furkid parents! Her home is Zen-like with clean, dog-friendly floors, natural light, lots of space, and a fully fenced, beautiful yard. We also appreciate the daily walks, the updates, the photos, and the fact that our furgirl Sadie is there one-on-one with Claudia’s full attention, and that she can sleep in Claudia’s bed if she wants to! Best of all, Sadie is calm and happy when we pick her up – that says a lot. Happy Paws is not designed for last-minute doggie drop-offs, like if you suddenly decide to run errands or spend the day – sans pooch – in Seattle. However, we will forever plan our longer trips around Claudia’s availability so that we can be 100% confident that Sadie is healthy, happy, and in the most capable, caring hands while we are away for long periods. Claudia's Happy Paws Inn & Resort is unsurpassed! We've boarded elsewhere in the past, both in-home and kennel-like, and while adequate, they could not begin to match our experience at Happy Paws. Claudia's home is on a quiet street in Port Townsend. A generous yard has sturdy fencing. Dogs are really her guests. The home is filled with toys and dog beds, but dogs have free access to beds and other furniture. They get several walks a day, and (if you like) photo updates come throughout the stay.When we picked up our high energy 13-month-old Northwest Farm Terrier, Marley, was relaxed and clearly at home. It's revealing that after our initial visit to get to know one-another, Marley would whimper and pull at her leash TOWARD Happy Paws when we passed on our walks. She loves it! Claudia has made a point of studying dogs. She believes only in positive re-enforcement, and makes it clear that this is a resort for dogs, not a training kennel. A look at her website reveals so much about her approach and philosophy toward companion animals.We will certainly return, secure in the knowledge that Marley will be happy and well cared for. My only reservation in writing this review is that she will become too popular. We'd like to keep Happy Paws for ourselves!

I can't say enough about how wonderful Claudia of Happy Paws... is with my dogs. She is loving, gentle, and understands dogs. My two medium/large dogs just finished a 2 week stay with Claudia. When I picked them up, they were happy, well-fed, well-exercised, and clearly loved. When I picked them up, they excited rushed to me with their joyous doggy greeting and then ran back and forth between me and Claudia for petting. A clear sign that they felt safe and loved with Claudia. Claudia provides daily (or as often as clients prefer) updates about the dogs activities with photos. After the stay, Claudia provided me with a summary of how the dogs got on and behaviors she noticed over their stay. Claudia is a gem and I highly recommend her. I will be using her services again.

Love this care option for my dogs. Claudia is loving and attentive to each dog’s needs. She wants to know about and accommodates each dog’s quirks. I love that we were sent updates and pics regularly during their stay. Will definitely use her again.

Claudia provides excellent care. Our dog went on multiple walks daily, and we received pictures to see how she was doing. I highly recommend!

Claudia's pet sitting services are an asset to the Olympic Peninsula. She is highly capable and knowledgable about pet psychology and she practices positive reinforcement so dogs feel safe. Our dog, Sable, has severe separation anxiety and used to become ill from stress when boarded at a traditional kennel overnight, but now she does great with Claudia's specialized attention. We are so thankful to have Happy Paws as an option for pet care!

Many pet-sitting services claim to offer a ‘next best thing to home’ experience for your pets, but Claudia truly delivers. She is very caring and accommodating and she treats her furry guests as if each one is her own.Claudia will send as many photos and videos of your little ones enjoying themselves as you can view. It really helps to keep your mind at ease, knowing that they are in such caring, loving hands.
