Our experience with Rempel Builders and their quality of work at 30 Dvoras Cove during 2018 was outstanding.It was a pleasure communicating with Ivan Plett, the project manager, during the entire scope of work. He made sure we knew what was going on every step of the way. That alone was awesome because of the sheer magnitude of the project.In the past, we did not have good experiences with a majority of renovation companies. However, at our introduction meeting, we were all made to feel very comfortable and confident under Ivan's direction and assurances.Right from the outset, Ivan was able to provide us with a preliminary plan which included the timeline for the project.Preparations were made to meet with suppliers to facilitate the selection of all the various building materials, finishes and design elements.As the work on the rebuild progressed, Ivan provided our family with daily/weekly status updates and his tradesmen on site were courteous and respectful.Workmanship was top shelf. Beyond all initial impressions and experiences with Rempel Builders and their team, the most important and reassuring element was that of their workmanship.Quality of work and attention to detail were the most impressive and pleasing outcomes of this entire process. Skilled carpenters and tradespeople were very proficient at problem solving and providing solutions to unforeseen issues in layout or design.Ivan and his team would provide us with immediate answers to any questions or were able to suggest the most practical, economic or ergonomic solution. Ivan offered advice/direction to us without compromising proper building procedures and with a view to benefit the home's aesthetics. For example, if we were to ask about an alteration or adjustment to the interior plan, he would comment on its feasibility with respect to building code and best cost option.Ivan Plett is extremely knowledgeable in his field of expertise. The man knows what he's talking about. I have met many people in the construction business, being in the real estate service sector, and I would rank him among the best in residential building construction knowledge and experience. We worked with Rempel Builders on renovating our master bathroom and we are thrilled with the outcome - it is our favorite room in the house now! Ivan was great to work with, very patient as we went through several design options to find the right fit of quality and cost. Rempel is not the cheapest option out there but they were quick, responsive, trustworthy, and an overall pleasure to work with. Would hire them again for the right project.

BEWAREWhere do I start. We wanted to renovate our small bathroom and after a recommendation, decided to give our business to Rempel.We were promised that the project would be done in a timely manner considering we only had 1 shower in the house so we made arrangements to shower elsewhere during this time. We were given 2-3 months timeline.It took them from March 2021 and it is now almost December 2021 is currently still not finished. All they have left to do is finish the glass shelf in the shower niche and it's been months of waiting just for that. There was consecutive weeks where nothing was done and there was nearly zero communication as to when the reno would resume.The vanity that was installed was way too big and not according to the agreed specs. At first they tried to get us to accept it and try to live with it". I am glad we pressed to stay with the original specifications. Needless to say

Working with Ivan at Rempel Builders on our exterior home renovation was an outstanding experience. From the very beginning, we knew we had made the right choice in selecting Rempel Builders to take on our project. It started when Ivan arranged for Donna to create a design that captured everything we were looking for and then he worked with us to finalize a plan that met our budget while maintaining the integrity of the design. The next step was to make it a reality and Ivan brought in crew that were skilled, professional, responsive and courteous. The only thing that was disappointing was the length of time it took to complete the project but we were prepared for that. Ivan explained that there would be lulls between subcontractors and that it could take a few months to complete. When the project was finished, the results were phenomenal. Our home looks exactly the way we imagined and it’s all thanks to Ivan and his team. We would definitely recommend Rempel Builders to anyone looking for a home renovator.

Ivan, John and the rest of the Rempel Builders Team did a wonderful job on our large and multi-faceted renovation. They took care of working together with the other required contractors and ensured that everything came out to our liking. In a world of renovation horror stories our experience was the opposite. Ivan and his team were absolutely excellent. We worked with the Ivan on 3 projects over a 2 year period (with breaks) and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Renovations are stressful, with million of little and big decisions to make along the way, Ivan and his team made the process easy. Rempel Builders just completed a kitchen renovation for us. The whole process right from the initial estimate, design process with their designer and actual construction was done professionally. They were excellent communicators and let me know what would take place each week and notified me if the plan changed. Each trade that came in to work was helpful, pleasant, did a great job and left the workspace clean each evening. Our job was completed ahead of schedule even with a couple unexpected issues that they resolved easily. I am extremely happy with the quality of work and love my new kitchen space! We've had Rempel Builders to our place twice; once to build a deck and once a couple of years later to add to the deck's design (when our needs changed). Both times we really loved working with Ivan and his team. They are honest and fair with their quote and the communication with them was always clear and easy. The workers were always polite, helpful and tidy. We highly recommend them.

Friends had recommended Rempel Builders after using them to finish their basement, and we signed up for a whole home renovation with them. Their attention to detail was apparent from day one, when Ivan and his team of contractors descended en mass to do a complete walk through of the plans. We were very impressed by the collaboration between the various trades involved, right from day one. Our designer had come up with some very complex ideas, which required creative thinking when it came to implementation. As with any major renovation, a few things didn’t easily translate from paper to design, but on those few instances Ivan and team worked closely with our designer and came up with solutions which turned out even better than originally drawn.John was our site manager and he kept the place spotless throughout the renovation. Trades were well coordinated and we never felt inconvenienced in spite of the majority of the house being in some state of renovation. The build ran on time overall, and with only a few minor adjustments to price along the way (which were well communicated and agreed before any incremental work progressed). We found Ivan and team were very particular about the quality of the work done by all the trades – they clearly take great pride in their work. The outcome exceeded our expectations.We highly recommend Rempel Builders, and look forward to our next renovation with them.
