Richardson's Campground
The outhouses were almost on our lot and strong acrid scents were present during the whole stay.The lakeshore road is meters away from the campgrounds and is suprisingly active during the night with cars driving around 50 km/h, waking you up in the middle of the night as they are passing 5 meters from your tent.There is basically no privacy on these campgroundsThe sanitary complex to take showers is 10 minutes away by car.At least the beaches are close and beautiful ?

Worst campsite I have visited. I had to pick up a bunch of garbage and plastics when I had arrived. Does not compare to silent lake, bon echo, Samuel de Champlain or even Algonquin.

Not a bad campground but many sites were quite close together. Lots of beaches nearby and easy hikes with great scenery. The long straight road beside the campsite unfortunately, had a fair amount of cars speeding by significantly over the speed limit.

It is a perfectly beach and environment but this campsite doesn't have a change room and the bathrooms and toilets are local washrooms, for showers and good washrooms you must go to another campsite

No privacy between sites, neighbours were extremely close. We could smell the toilet from far. We were very surprised because Ontario parks are generally awesome. We left to go to Outlet A the second night (another camping in sandbanks). Much cleaner and private, with great showers. Avoid Richardson’s.

No privacy, No comfort station, smelly toilets. One of the worst campsite in Sandbanks. If you can, avoid this one. There are some nice trees and noisy birds! That's why it deserves 1 STAR.

Campgrounds are extremely close together with no tree separation in between (we were at #446). We didn’t see any facilities other than the not so hygienic bathrooms and extremely smelly. First thing you see when you arrive is the open trash bins. Also, people were very loud until late at night, perhaps a curfew would be helpful. This place could benefit of a consultant from Parks Canada (we were in Banff and Jasper not long ago and the campgrounds were top quality) to enhance the experience for the clients. Fortunately, the Lakeshore beach nearby is beautiful!

Ground is very damp due to low elevation and being next to the lake, water will pool around the tent when raining so pick higher ground to pitch and bring vapor barrier to line the ground under the tent. Camp sites are very big through.

Wow, this campground is so gross. Toilets are disgusting, the water is yellow. Most of the campsites are so cramped up together with absolutely 0 privacy and shade. Possible the worst campgrounds ever. How is this possible when Sanbanks is so popular? Where does all the money go to? Can't they build nicer toilets and showers at least?
