Elk Falls Provincial Park and Protected Area
This place is a must visit when visiting Campbell River. The walk is maybe 15 minutes to the falls. There is a suspension bridge as well which is nice. The views are great too.

Awesome place for a short day trip. The walking routes can be short or longer depending how much you want to do. Some big redwood trees scattered in here, was nice to see since i couldn't get to cathedral grove. Waterfall is awesome, can access the rapids and there is a rock beach" at the top above the rapids where its almost dead still. The water is cold and delicious! There is a safe spot at the top of the rapids to access water where there is current so its fresh. Glad i decided to make the trip to Campbell river."

Elk Falls Provincial Park and Protected Area
It's a decent park with friendly staff. They sell firewood in the park and will check you in when they do drive by's (there is no official registration desk). The park is pretty basic in its amenities such as put toilets only and no showers, but the advantage is that you're close to town if you need something. Don't expect a cell signal within the park cause it is a dead zone, you're close to numerous hiking trails, and the campsites along the river seem to be the nicest in the park.

Absolutely stunning waterfalls. The hiking trails are well maintained and easy to manoeuvre. You can close to the water which is nice. A must go to for anyone looking to see waterfalls or a good hike.
